Re: George Jones

Even if you're not a George Jones fan, everyone should read his autobiography. (I Lived To Tell It All.) There are some crazy stories in there like him being wasted out of his mind and trying to rip Porter Wagoner's dick off. To do as much booze and drugs as he did and to live to 81 is incredible.

The disconnect between the national and Detroit media about the Ansah pick is pretty hilarious. The national guys love the pick -- Pete Prisco gave the Lions the only A+. The Detroit media is basically calling him Darko Ansah.

Just to add to Brian's comments - if you carry extra cards, you need to keep in mind what annual fees are involved. If you ever travel to foreign countries, get a card that doesn't hit you for currency translation fees. That can be huge, so read the fine print. I've got one card specifically for th...

Chase Freedom is supposed to have the best rewards. The APR isn't the best, but I always pay in full, so it isn't an issue. I don't think the interest is all that bad anyways. You haave to have good credit to get a card from them, though. This. Chase's customer service is every bit as good as Amex'...

2013 NFL Draft

Can't believe we don't have a thread for this yet. Rumors are flying around everywhere. Should be some deals happening pretty soon.

A couple of reports have the Chiefs trying to move Branden Alpert and if they can't, they'll take Eric Fisher with the first overall pick.

The NFL might end up with some egg in its face, too. Haslem was considered a premier prospective NFL owner when the NFL referred him to the Browns, and that is after the NFL vetted him.
