I do, however, appreciate their efforts to help Syracuse stumble their way to a 6-6 record and a bowl game. So, you have that going for you (smiley emoticon here).

For a guy who is not a speed or "sick moves" kind of guy, Matt Forte has a sensational jump cut (see 50-yard TD run today when highlights come available for you).

Hey, Verlander still starts tomorrow, right?

Phil Coke, please get ready for the inevitable Ortiz at-bat this inning.

Of course that was strike three. Of course.

Re: ALCS
Between his lack of steals, GIDPs, and that pick-off, I'm pretty sure Austin Jackson is the slowest fast guy in MLB.
Re: ALCS
The only thing the Tigers taking the lead really means is that the Sawx will see at least two relievers tonight, including Benoit. This is one hell of a silver lining for them.

My preferred method of ignoring Buck and McCarver is to read long magazine articles online during the game with the volume on a little lower than if I was just watching the game. Read a sentence or short paragraph, look up to watch pitch. Return to reading. The thud of pitch in mitt or crack of bat ...

Very courteous of Peralta to fight back from a 3-1 count by swinging and missing at two pitches well off the plate.

Nice of the Red Wings to welcome Roy back to the NHL with his first coaching loss. Wonder if there is any of the old rivalry still floating around, as McLeod got a misconduct in the first for the 'Lanche and Miller and Sarich fought in the second.

The Detroit TiGIDPers.
I found it most annoying that Cabrera laid off the first outside pitch, but not the second after getting suckered by him on outside stuff in Game 3.

Eighth and ninth have been everything bad about the Tigers all season long - shaky bullpen and bad infield defense, especially at the corners (Cabrera couldn't even move for that grounder). I think Leyland's prevailing thought tonight with handling his pitching staff was, "Fuck it, I have Verlander on regular rest for Game Five if we win." Of course, he can't feel good about going to pretty much anyone if Verlander has to be relieved. Sanchez was lousy in his start (3 HR in u...
