I don't want to drag up painful history, but can someone DM me with a link to, or the story of, Howard's absence from the Swamp?
Not sure what other old dogs I'm missing, but his absence certainly sticks out.
BTW: that Angel from Montgomery track is golden.

Re: The Weather
Made it through with modest damage to property and all members of the OM fam in good shape. Scary overnight (see aforementioned tornado warning) and we were ALL caught flatfooted by this track. I always put up hurricane shutters, but the weird slow track that kept pushing eastward surprised me and m...

Re: The Weather
Just navigated the first tornado warning of Hurricane Sally's slow as fuck landfall. Scary few minutes, but Mrs. OM got the kids back down after we cleared out of the shelter space (interior bathroom).
Lots of rain, wind has picked up. Going to be a long 18-24 hours, but all is good so far...

Re: 2020 Presidential Election: Joe Biden vs Whoever the Republicans Nominate
I can't fathom any sane person not being terrified about this election or being simple enough to think it'll just be about the EC and actual votes. Thank god. I was starting to question my sanity. I truly hope that I/we never come close to the anxiety level of March-November 2020. What a mindfuck...

Re: Not so funny real life Capt Trips thread
We spent a lot of time on the phone yesterday with the County Health Dept contact tracer lecturing us to stay inside etc. It sucks, but is a relatively small sacrifice for the good of society at large. Turned on TV just as the Gary Oldman scene in True Romance came on. It ain't white boy day I beli...

In a couple of hours, I'm going to walk across town and pay a visit to Wren Library at Trinity College. It looks like this: http://www.trin.cam.ac.uk/show.php?viid=11 http://archiveadventure.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/wren.jpg?w=455&h=303 What I'm most excited about though is that the library ...

Re: Who is missing?
Great! Looking forward to taking a look around, seeing who I recognize, and catching up where I can. Barely have time for sports these days, but I expect there's plenty to check out in these (new-to-me) parts. {No, I'm no Trump supporter, though I'm in the decided minority on that front here in FL-1.}

Re: Who is missing?
Good evening, gents (and ladies?). I was watching the draft, read about Joey Logano visiting the WH (and was reminded of Brontoburglar's early fandom), so wondered how the Swamp was doing. I'm still alive, doing fine, and wanted to drop a quick hello to anyone who might remember me from my posting d...
