No, but I'm friend of a friend of another David Irwin. Once we both posted on our common friend's status and it was a bit disorienting.

I just learned like five minutes ago that Beto O'Rourke went to my high school. He apparently was three years behind me, but I don't think we overlapped. I think he came as a sophomore, the year after I left. I'm sure he heard all about me though.

Someone explain why they took Kovacic without an option rather than a different player or "more money" to find a more permanent piece? All a play for the Champions League? Chelsea was in a tough spot for negotiating about Courtois, because he only had one year left, had been saying for a while he w...

Just watched it and really enjoyed it as well. I'm glad I read that Rolling Stone recap linked above. I had forgotten about Jimmy's meeting with the insurance company. I find sparkling water nasty. They love it here in Europe, so I've learned to order still or "no gas" water.

But I was intrigued that so many folks are drinking LaCroix these days. So, I tried one a couple of weeks ago. Yep, still nasty. Just nasty water with a vague citrusy flavor.

What's the issue about telling the guy yourself? Like, "Hey buddy, if you like tentacle hentai then you do you, but me and my lovely dining partner are trying to eat. Put your headphones on." Because you don't want to risk a conflict ruining your nice dinner. Ask the restaurant to take care of it, ...

In contrast to Phantom Thread, I rewatched Superbad last night. Hadn't seen that one in a long time. Holy shit, I'd forgotten how funny that movie is. I'm thinking it's very likely the all-time best of the high-school sex comedy/drama genre. Both Jonah Hill and Michael Sera are incredible.

They also had that Stones header cleared off the line by a defender in extra time.
