Re: The Important Sounds of Things Falling Apart

I still don't like equating cops (inaccurately) returning fire with cops initiating fire on a little kid.

Re: The Important Sounds of Things Falling Apart

Absolutely. If the cops were personally absolved but the tactics behind the incident were banned, it would be a far greater loss for the department and union than if these three cops had been indicted and convicted. Their power is that they can create or escalate a situation and still be right.

Re: The Important Sounds of Things Falling Apart

I'm not trying to devil's advocate here but the individual cops actions don't seem like the biggest problem to me. Granted, we know atleast one is a complete piece of shit, I'm referring only to that night. In a bubble, they were shot at and they shot back. Most every major situation involving cops ...

Re: The Important Sounds of Things Falling Apart

Which is really, really bad when you think about it because it's natural in America to start firing on home intruders when you have no idea who they are. Yup. I can think of about a half dozen bigger problems with this incident than the cops returning fire, which speaks to the tremendously fucked u...

Re: The I need to buy a house thread

Its definitely a curse. I really like where we live now but its only because its central to where our parents and families are. If mine had moved to Florida or somewhere "away" from me, I'd have no issue re-settling somewhere off the east coast, atleast as a trial.

I wonder what the losses actually were here. If rapid testing is cost prohibitive for a club at their level and (in the slight bit of reading I did here) most early Carabao revenue comes from split ticket sales, it might not have really mattered (financially)?

Re: EPL 2020/21

Now that I'm officially an expert, here are some things that should change about soccer:
- The entire 18 yard box shouldn't be a penalty, it should be reshaped
- The player who draws the penalty or has the last touch should take the penalty
