Re: THE 2014-2015 NHL Regular Season Thread

That seems like a really strong return for Perron. A first-round pick is a lot to give up, but Perron will certainly help them. And they have him for next year, too. Edmonton is determined to win the race to the bottom. I really thought that this was Buffalo's year, but they've disappointed me by b...

Canada hasn't won in 5 years so the coach changed philosophy this year. He asked 'why are we selecting 4th liners and checkers for a short tournament just for the sake of a balanced team then we can't score a goal when we need to. We're fucking Canada, we have the best players" So he selected ...

Yeah, that Draisaitl maneuvering is head-scratching. Then again, it's the Oilers. The Capitals have done a similar thing with Andre Burakovsky. He was healthy-scratched a lot, but they didn't let him play for Sweden in the WJCs. Then they sent him down to the AHL. A couple of days later, he was call...

rass is ranked way too low on this list. Then again, any list that does not include Johnny Carwash is invalid. That's the view from this lurker's window anyway.

Did Maatta get a second opinion on his shoulder yet. That sucks. I'm reading some panicky Internet speculation now. Yeah, this doesn't sound good, but I'll wait to hear something official. I wasn't around here when Pascal Dupuis' blood clot was announced, but that was pretty crushing. It's amazing ...

Listening to Jenny Lewis again now. I think she's the bee's knees, but I don't think that I'm ever going to connect with this album. Marc-Andre Fleury, Olli Maatta, and Robert Bortuzzo of the Penguins are now being tested for the mumps. In addition to Crosby and Bennett, an intern for the team also has it. The Oilers, man. The solution, obviously, is to trade a defenseman to free up cap space, and then re-sign Ilya Bryzgalov. At this point, I'm just hoping that they trade Hall and Eberle so that I could officially stop caring. They're playing the Coyotes tonight. What a depressing game that's going to...
