Nike made an awesome video for themselves and the University of Oregon. They recreated the toga party scene from Animal House with famous Oregon alumni.

Re: NCAA Hoops Off season 2015
OK, this helps heal the pain of today's football loss. UVA just signed another top-100 basketball recruit, DeAndre Hunter (just sounds good with a name like that). ESPN has him at #79, which is actually the lowest ranking of their top 4 guys. Earlier, you may recall that I wrote that Bennett would n...

Dammit, this is not going to end well. I knew it. But of course, the football gods had to tempt me first. When Virginia scored with just under 2 minutes and ND only needed a FG to win, I was very worried. ND had moved the ball all game, but they were playing their backup who hadn't looked that good...

Virginia got their asses completely kicked by Notre Dame in the first quarter today, but something clicked after that and they are giving the Domers all they want in this game. I've never gotten used to the idea that Jim Caldwell was able to land an NFL coaching job. Twice. He was a thoroughly shitty coach at Wake Forest for years. When you're a shitty coach at a shitty football school and you get fired, you kind of assume the career isn't heading up from there. In fairnes...

Friend just sold his house for 75k more than he paid for it. Granted, that was 10 years ago, but still, nice little chunk of cash. Obviously it depends on what he bought the place for, but that's not exactly great appreciation for a house. It was about a 40% increase in value. Seems pretty good to ...

I went with Dallas as well. It seems like in the NFL, about a third of the teams are either way better or way worse than expected, so Week 1 is always scary. Add in that this week, a lot of the stronger teams are on the road and there's gonna be chaos in survivor pools this week.

I don't know the players enough to say who was placed in the wrong spot, but holy shit was that effort awful. That's the most inept I've seen a USA team look in years. Maybe decades. I don't think you'd need coaches to coordinate that. Apparently two JJ players had been ejected just a few minutes earlier. Those guys could easily have set that up in the defensive huddle. I've been in the Seattle area for about two weeks now. On the two weekends, I've driven around quite a bit, checking out the areas and a few houses. I've been listening to a number of the very good local stations. In all of that time, among the hundreds of songs, I've only heard two Nirvana songs.

His act wears thin pretty quickly. He's a good coach, but he completely rubs people the wrong way. I'm thinking the AD only cares about W/L. The players are their 4 years max. 3 if he's got Michigan where the AD (and 65%?) of Michigan wants the team. Very, very few college football players leave af...

It's very rare for a play to happen in sports that I think is legitimate legal assault. That's clearly one right there. Those kids need to be charged. And both of them should be analyzed to see if they need professional help, because that's some fucked up behavior right there.
