Read somewhere that pushups were the single best exercise you can do (if you do them with good form). Not that I do them.
Maybe in an article I wrote?

Re: Old is New Again HDTV Buying Thread

I got two Westinghouse 40" LED (1080P/120HZ) refurbished for $186 apiece.

Yes, I know, Westinghouse refurbs should throw up a red flag, but why the hell not at that price and it's a business expense.

Re: The I need to buy a house thread

I'm thinking that you may be in the same boat as me (given where we are in the country) in that rent is going to be just about as much as a mortgage payment. That's what I like about my situation. I wanted a yard and something to call mine, and now I have it. My mortage is down eight years (hooray r...

Re: NCAA Tournament thread - Sweet 16

This will be the hardest I've ever avoided anything on the internet in... damn, I have no idea how long. I needed to get ready to go over to my parents' place at halftime so I jumped in the shower apparently right before this happened. I got out, heard Jim Nantz in solemn Masters voice with no crowd...

I don't understand the Romo hate. Yeah, he's farted away games, but the Cowboys wouldn't be in the position they were in to fart away the games in the first place without Romo playing well to get them there.

Re: Swamp Job Questions

It was very, very informal. Just myself and the director and it was an hour long conversation. I had four specific questions about the job going in and then piggybacked a lot based off of the conversations. The job description was much different (it apparently needed to be updated) than what it actu...

What BP said. Besler has been incredible at SKC. He and Collin are the best pairing in the MLS and a huge reason that SKC is as good as they are.

Re: Swamp Job Questions

But wouldn't you want your questions to be related to what they've said in the interview? You might bring a script but don't stick to it. Besides, its not like you need to memorize the question verbatim. Just three legitimate questions you have about the job. Its pretty rare that you really know wh...

Swamp Job Questions

I know we had an interview thread on the old swamp, but I don't see one in this incarnation. Anyway, have an interview tomorrow for a position that looks like it'd be a great fit -- if not at the very least some leverage. It involves working with promotions and events. What's appropriate to have som...

Have you heard of BaseCamp? It's pretty heavy duty (we use it for everything at the office) but it seems to be exactly what you're looking for.

Re: NCAA Tournament thread - Play-In games and Round of 64

Already pre-barfing. If I were anyone but me, I'd mock my level of investment in a play-in game. I can't decide how nervous I will be tomorrow. I should be nervous... this Missouri team could make the Final Four and it wouldn't be that much of a surprise given expectations and talent level. But it ...

Talib is back. Lloyd cut. Lloyd just cant really get open. And hes a pussy. Nice hands and route running though. The anti-Welker maybe? Nah, neither can get downfield. And Welker runs good routes. Wonder what he did before green bay spread the back shoulder through the league. That was about 60% of...
