I left that part off; we're checking out those two this weekend. Any Scotch Plains areas to avoid? Don't have much of a feel for there.

The OFFICIAL Towns in North Jersey Discussion Thread ...
Those who are knowledgable, fire away. Right now inventory is painfully low in our range so we're considering either reopening some search areas or looking into new areas. Wants: Access to a nice downtown, really good public schools, proximity to train. Don't Cares: We're backwards on house size, la...

How fucking cheap is FL housing that a $150K salary would give you the leftover money to get a Maserati?Icepenis wrote:I'm talking big money. $150K+.
Ain't too many engineers driving around in Maseratis.
I'd consider engineering to generally be on-par or close to pharmacy.

Last night was a great "man, what a stupid setup" moment for the Rangers. Toronto sitting 5th, Rangers in the mix from 6th through 9th, and best case scenario was an OT that pushes Toronto into locking up 5th so we can max out and still not get above 6th.

Well that was fun. Left at the rain delay so I got to miss the joys of watching a "closer" with control issues. That always works out well. One of the things the Red Sox did to lure more fans was to offer $5 beers. Only problem was that $5 beers were about half the size of regular priced ...

But isn't "I was a journalism major and had a chance to take 6 months to focus on writing a book" a pretty good excuse for pausing the other career type thing? And that assumes you eventually need/want to go back.

Sounds like you're in a better position than about 90% of people your age to do something like this. Go for it. Especially if the flipside of "writing a book" is keeping a job at a gym that I imagine would come back around in a year if you want it.

I would imagine preference goes 1st, 2nd, 6th then 4th. 6th still below 1st and 2nd because of the playoff reseeding. Unless that went away too or something.

Are people saying the ump didn't decide to call a strike until Zobrist made a move, or that he didn't make it uber-demonstrative until Zobrist made a move? Incompetent or dick? It would be different if it weren't a confrontational douche of an ump. Many people on twitter, the super-amazing Keith Law among them, noted that he didn't ring Zobrist up until Zobrist had already made a move towards 1B. I don't think they're trying to equate gold chains & saggy pants with black on white oppression. They're just going with the stereotypes. White guy in rebel flag shirt = racist vs. black guy in baggies and chains = gangbanger. Both are saying I won't judge your book by it's cover if you won't j...

Oh, its LL without a doubt. I'm not able to render the final verdict, but I'm thinking even without knowing who was saying what, he would have had the most singularly offensive line in the entire song.

You're on the right path!
My guess is 2 games for MDZ. It was reckless, which usually isn't time away, but the results looked bad and it was a star player.
(And how about Dupuis' followup. Rare you see such an obviously dirty play that a complete whiff still draws 2:00.)
