Thanks, Trav. I agree. It was a great series. Could've gone the other way, but I can't be too upset (but I am bummed, for sure.)travzilla wrote:Kings finish off Sharks. Great series. Anyone still pedaling the "Sharks choke in the playoffs" narrative is just lazy at this point.

Funny Sharks/Kings game last night. Sharks dominated the first half of it and L.A. dominated the second half of it. But, I'll take the win and now we move to a two out of three!

Fuck Carl Levin, too. As howard notes, there is nothing illegal going on. Congress makes the tax rules and it's stupid for them to be upset that Apple plays well by their rules. Legal tax avoidance employs thousands of accountants, and we reward the guys who do it well. eta: http://www.businessinsid...

I don't know why this is even a story. Demons and the devil and casting them out are just as much a part of catholic belief system as is the holy trinity. I figure it's because tennis and gay sex are basically the same thing. Lots of grunting. Fuzzy balls rhythmically clapping back and forth. Love means nothing. Every time I looked up it seemed like one of the Red Wings (usually Ericsson) was knocking Jonathan Toews on his ass. I think he is definitely affected. Refs last night were letting the physical play go, and the Wings defense rolled hard with that style of play.

I'll repeat this one more time with feeling--if you think the soaring Dow and S+P are rational indicators for the health of the economy, or evidence of a recovering economy, you are flat-out wrong. Just like those folks were wrong in 1999-2000, and in 2007. The stock market and the true economy hav...

Hey, howard, you haven't been short the market through all this upswing, have you? Here's an excerpt from an e-mail I received today from an NYSE trader. The S&P has risen 146% from its 12 year low in 2009. But the records don’t just stop with the indexes. Factset put out a report this past week...

Goddammit that's gruesome.
