Re: 2016/2017 NHL Regular Season Thread
Hey, you know who's gonna die and leave behind all of his loved ones a full decade earlier than Henrik? Like when you consider right this minute until then, its devastating. Like 25% more life and love to be experienced on his side.

I like the sports analogy, but maybe alter it to where one team can try to limit the number of black players on the other team.

Re: 2016/2017 NHL Regular Season Thread
The problem is you're elevating at every pair. There's no 2 which means a 2nd pair is 1st and a 3rd pair is 2nd and you're playing two guys (Holden + Girardi) who are individually fine as your 6th but can't be in the same group if you want the group to be good. Skjei has been very good. I like him a...

Yup. I thought the treatment of him last year was overblown. Rangers fans universally love Girardi the person, its just the usage and contract that's impossible to stomach. When the immediate rumor was that he was in the Yandle trade, despite me wanting nothing more than his contract gone, I still ...

He might be the worst cost:benefit player in the league, but I don't really have an issue with him playing as our 3RD. And he does seem to be adapting a bit to the new game, atleast in terms of transition versus perpetual flip-clearing.degenerasian wrote:Isnt Girardi the worst player to ever play hockey?

There's no "overlooking". You can play cute or admit this was a clear us versus them where them was willing to allow a racist, sexist, bigoted sociopath win. Blaming the two party system is bullshit; everyone knew this was A or B (ha!) and chose accordingly.

This seemed like a good enough thread pick: Anyone have any experience telling a kid a teacher at her school died?
(She understands and accepts death, probably didn't know the teacher, but it will be addressed in class tomorrow and she always does better with more information and warning.)
