Re: Racism

Think it's pretty hilarious that Fox News and the rest of the mass media has little old ladies in Topeka worried about Muslim terror attacks when you're probably 1000 times more likely to die at the hands of a right wing terrorist like this asshole, those two assholes in Las Vegas, Jared Loughner, e...

Re: The avg US woman now 166 pounds — as much as a 1960s man

The article seems to go for some shock value by focussing on women when they could have focused on men or just the fat population in general. It has to be the food right because we are exercising more than our parents ever did. I don't know that that's true. We probably are exercising more but peop...

Credit where credit is due. Baylor has really stepped up their OOC scheduling. This would be a pretty sweet addition.

Yeah, two, three or whatever doesn't really matter. I don't know how people live without a USB hub. I have a six port hub with six ports in use all of the time (Fitbit tracker, USB mouse, keyboard, iPhone charger, Kindle charger/synch and an external HD).

Re: Jeeves runs a small business but needs new computers.

Does anyone ever get a Mac then go back to a Dell or some other Windows machine? The difference in lifespan (and super coolness) is night and day. I used to have a mac and loved it but went back to a PC in a compatibility effort since my partner was already on PC and we didn't want the headaches. H...

Should be able to use any kind of printer or similar device on a Mac. Printer drivers are pre-loaded in the OS, but in worst case scenarios the printer makers have them available on their websites for download. Though I imagine the older the device in question, the more of a pain in the ass it is to...

Works either way. If someone leaves their key in their lock and you walk in, you're still trespassing. If they leave their keys in an unlocked car, it's still auto theft.

Re: FBI investigating Cardinals hacking Astros computers

Probably a stupid question but it is a real crime if you guess passwords for someone's account, right? Just doesn't seem like "hacking" to me. I try to guess WiFi passwords all the time, which is probably technically a crime as well. Like most crimes, it's a level of degree. "Hacking...

The Carlos correa era is off to a delightful start. Agreed! Got to meet Jake Marisnick, George Springer, and Evan Gattis yesterday with my wife and oldest. She high-fived Marisnick, said "Springer Dinger" to George (he hit two last night) and Gattis called her a "cutie-patootie"...

Arriola was my favorite player to watch. It's obviously hard to project at this point, but Arriola could be a really fun player to watch for the national team in a few years. Group A ended up being the Group of Death and then some, yet Iceland is still on top. If they can draw against Holland in September they should pretty much only need to get a win against Latvia or Kazakhstan to go through.
