Re: The 2013 MLB thread - March/April edition
How do you figure it was intentional? fwiw, in the interview with pool reporters after the game, Quentin said that Greinke said something to him right after he hit him that indicated it wasn't accidental and that was why he charged - he doesn't have a history of charging the mound. Quentin kept ref...

Out here where I live, it seems like a high percentage of the successful folks you meet have engineering backgrounds. I meet lots of Silicon Valley engineers who do quite well for themselves. I grew up around guns and almost everybody I knew hunted, so I get that viewpoint to a degree. Put a bunch of really small red potatoes in a pan. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle crushed rosemary over top. Roast at high heat.

Apparently, the Ravens are in the running to sign Rolando McLain. If the deal is affordable, is there a downside? If he flakes out again, they can just release him. He was really poor for the Raiders and a cancer in the locker room, if the local media is to be believed, and is still getting in off-...

SL - Aren't they re-seeding, in the subsequent rounds, now?
Speaking of playoffs, I'm enjoying watching the stretch run in the West. 4th-7th are essentially tied, and 9th-12th are also essentiall tied, and pretty close to 8th.

So in a lot of years, you can probably argue that the best seed to have is the 6th seed? Is that even somewhat true? I'm just running hypotheticals through my head for no reason. I think I'd prefer to be the first seed, if for no other reason than it means you have a good team. But seriously, no ot...

I suppose it gets a bit difficult if the dog needs to take a whiz or shit and the owner isn't ready/available.
And, how much training is involved in getting the dogs to walk in heels? I know women who haven't mastered it yet, so it must be tough for a golden retriever.

Back when I was in junior high, the one guy in the phys ed locker room who wasn't circumcised was an object of some juvenile ribbing/derision. I wonder if that possible issue affects parents' decisions nowadays? I wonder if it is any more common nowadays for a kid to be uncircumcised?

I know it seems like renting is throwing away money, but paying interest on a mortgage is throwing away money as well. It takes several years before your mortgage payments start paying down the principle of the loan, so you really aren't getting much equity out the first 5-10 years of the mortgage....
