I like a lot of things about this Evan Engram pick, but mostly that he will make the Giants an unstoppable juggernaut.

Re: The bursting of the Sports Bubble (and probably some other bubbles too)
I mean, nothing beats a newspaper for getting all of the relevant news, sports, weather, etc. all in one place without looking on the Internet. Problem is, that doesn't seem to hold much value.

Re: The bursting of the Sports Bubble (and probably some other bubbles too)
I don't think this has anything to do with any programming decision (and I certainly don't think it has anything to do with the supposed politicization of ESPN's coverage, that's a silly distraction). They simply paid way too much in rights fees given that their business model is not sustainable in ...

I'm torn here. On one hand, this really seems unfair. On the other hand, the league's first priority every year should be eliminating the Caps as quickly as possible.

Re: 2017 NBA Playoffs Thread
Paul's advanced stats profile is amazing, but I've often wondered how much of that is because Paul is actually playing in this era and able to evaluate his game with the benefit of advanced stats. He has always struck me as a guy who was made for his era more than a guy who would be great in any era...

Quarterback Eli Manning and New York Giants brass created bogus “game-worn” football gear to pass off as the real deal — and one of the forgeries is sitting in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, an explosive new lawsuit claims. Any time you guys want to talk about investing in high speed regional rail, by the way. At approximately 300 miles, you're looking at a 2-3 hour ride, downtown to downtown. You can stand up, walk around, drink in the bar car, pee whenever you want, whatever suits you.

Look, they're a goddamn airline, they can offer more than $800 if needed. Right, and its not even really $800 unless its used for an $800 seat on an otherwise sold out flight. I'm sure the real "cost" to United averages out to a fraction of that. How much cheaper would it have been to hir...

The airline should be experts at how to convey bad news to people, part of which is drawing lines that prevent your rank and file employees from being put in that situation.

Even if there isn't a regulatory violation there, it makes no bus...

I will always gladly hand over my bag at the gate. In fact it's my biggest pro tip about flying an airline that charges baggage fees. I understand carrying on to avoid the fee, but who wants to drag that thing on and off the plane?

They could have driven from Chicago to Louisville in no time. And with far less hassle. I wonder if that's true though, and I wonder if FAA regs have anything to say about that. Even if you're not behind the wheel, a 4-5 hour drive is physically taxing. (Yes, I know, so is a short flight. Frankly I...
