Re: College Football...Thanksgiving Weekend...

I don't understand why the "style points" crowd is ignoring that Auburn just bounced a Hail Mary pass off a dude's head a few weeks ago. Yeah, I said that Sunday. Aub is a couple breaks away from potentially being 9-3. I've told you guys not to bring that game up. We will see if the luck ...

Re: Turner Field

The Braves stadium, if it ever gets done, will presumably be financed by bonds backed by Cobb County tax revenues (although the zillions in related road improvements will be paid for by all Georgians I guess). And some massive road improvements will be required. The 75/285 Cobb Cloverleaf area is a...

The Braves are dead to me.* But the fact that the team published that picture tells you all you need to know. The Braves have always found it hard to market to black people, intown hipsters, and their "regional" audience at the same time--admittedly that's a tough sell and I don't envy th...

No. Fulton County was the typical "multi-purpose" 1960s "flying saucer" style stadium. Nothing to write home about.

A previously unknown/announced NFL guideline that teams/players use the same helmets for the whole season has killed the Tampa Bay creamsicle throwbacks. Whittemore, Franklin, and people who lived into their 80s and 90s during that time frame had to have immune/recovery systems in the top percentiles. May be a good brawl in the Braves/Nats game tonight. Bryce Harper showboated a bit after a homer last weekend in Washington, and was subsequently plunked. Dugouts emptied, but no real fireworks. Last night in Atlanta, Braves pitchers hit him twice, and almost a third time. J. Upton hit a walkoff in ...

Its just hard to believe GRM is going to kill him off for good. My theory is also that he has warged into the direwolf at the moment of stabbing. I anticipate this being tied in at some point to the Bran story line, where Bran gets him back into human form from knowledge gained beyond the wall/children of the forest/cave info.

ND needs a new QB for the upcoming season. I guess the vaunted Notre Dame academic program to ensure players stay in school didn't work so well this time.
