Re: NCAA Tournament thread - Play-In games and Round of 64

Safe to assume I'm the only one here who had their best NCAA experience happen today? (DSafe, thanks and I'd love to, but there's no room in the move budget for that sort of trip. And I'd jinx it if I did.) I figured that would be the case, but he mentioned trying to unload them last night and I fi...

Tiny white print on that dark background was very hard to read, but well worth it.

Mister D, I have a friend who has tickets he is trying to sell for Thursday and Saturday next week. He is holding them for me on your behalf, if you want them.

Thoughts?

Re: NCAA Tournament thread - Play-In games and Round of 64

It's too bad that utterly brilliant fullcourt inbounds play will be forgotten while that derpy final inbounds play is remembered. The latter was made possible by Marquette's previous colossally stupid inbound attempt. Two guys on opposite sides of the court at the backcourt line, both being face gu...

I am not taking the job, in spite of the fact I could walk to the office. We will be moving to Syracuse later this year so I can eventually succeed Boeheim.

Re: NCAA Tournament thread - Play-In games and Round of 64

What's funny (statistically) is that the women's game has much less parity and talent depth than the men's game, but yet a 16 has beaten a 1 in their tournament. Yikes. I had to look that one up. #16 Harvard defeating #1 Stanford in 1998. I would have guessed that was the debating societies or ches...

Re: NCAA Tournament thread - Play-In games and Round of 64

I really think that Stevens has proven enough at Butler that he has no reason to move to a mid-level team in a big conference. He can wait and get one of the big jobs with ease (I only consider about 6-8 jobs big jobs). And yeah, UNC would be a good fit as well as Old Roy isn't getting any younger ...

Re: NCAA Tournament thread - Play-In games and Round of 64

Montana is down by 40. And counting. I really hope the Berkeley guys were taken out for post-game pizza or something and are NOT seeing what Syracuse is currently up to. The height and athleticism difference between Syracuse and Montana was staggering. This won't be the case with Cal. That said, I ...

Re: NCAA Tournament thread - Play-In games and Round of 64

I started watching at the beginning of the second half. Announcers said Henderson needed his shot selection reined in, as he was 1-11 at the time. Last I saw, he was 5-10 in second half and a three-point deficit is now a nine-point lead with under a minute left.

Great to hear it, guys. My kid finally had a debate tournament to compete in - all the other ones this year have been for high school, but he is in middle school so they haven't had any tourneys until now. He and his partner finished sixth. Out of six teams. Poor guy. Waiting for one of the other l...

Re: NFL Free Agency

The Chicago papers are reporting that Brian Urlacher has given up on re-signing with the Bears. He wanted two years, $12 million, but the Bears (who are pretty close to against the cap and have to deal with Cutler's free agency next year) gave him a one year, $2 million offer. I wouldn't rule out a...

Syracuse basketball team under NCAA investigation and has been for a period of "years". Football is also involved.

Boeheim will be in a good mood, so this promises to be fun.

Re: The Walking Dead Thread Walks Again

Odd how humans can walk through areas with lots of things that make noise on the ground/floor (dried leaves/weeds/etc. in the forest, broken glass covered floor) and make tons of noise while walkers who do sneak attacks make nary a sound. Also, why not breathe through your nose when someone is tryin...
