Re: The Captain Trips Anxiety thread
This is more general anxiety but I haven't really slept in e days because everytime I lay down I get paranoid about dying in my sleep...I mean there is no reason tonight couldn't be the night...its just as probable as any other night...and the only way I know not to die in my sleep is to stay awake...

Tonight, I popped my meatball cherry. Major oversight on my part but I’m using my wife’s Italian grandmother’s “recipe” and can’t believe I’ve never made ‘em before. Sauce has been on the stove at a low simmer since 9:30 this morning. Looking forward to dinner. Aw man. I'd bitch about the lack of i...

Oh, as a sentient* being, I’ll take the under on NUFC. We’re these from the start of the season or from now? Either way, surprised at the low total for Liverpool.
*debatable.

Re: Happy Inauguration Day (and beyond- The Biden Presidency Thread part I)
That’s not journalism. That’s a collection of interviews with victims of crime by illegal immigrants to reach a biased conclusion. What's biased about "13 people were brutally murdered by illegal immigrants last year"? As Delaware pointed out - “illegal immigrant” implies bias, and you’re...

If I run a highly publicized series in my newspapers profiling victims of crimes committed by illegal immigrants, and only those victims, I am not being "objective" even if everything I report is true. That’s not journalism. That’s a collection of interviews with victims of crime by illeg...

Six-year contract for shit like this: “We’re going to kick you in the teeth, all right?” Campbell told reporters. “And when you punch us back, we’re going to smile at you. And when you knock us down, we’re going to get back up and on the way up, we’re going to bite a kneecap off, all right? And the...

The section I always forget about is the section closer to Wine Library and Scotties. Both my kids went to daycare/pre-school at Superkids (behind the Shoprite), so I was in that neighborhood every day for 5 years or so. That eggplant wedge sound fantastic, just not sure how I feel about the "...

The weird section of Millburn everyone forgets exists unless you end up driving through it. There’s two of those sections. Mia Familia is on Main St.before the bridge over 78 as you’re traveling into Springfield. The section I always forget about is the section closer to Wine Library and Scotties. ...

Country being the key. Instead of 24hr military operations we got a county employee trying to manage what is apparently really really difficult but which is about what chick-fil-a does everyday. The hard part is developing distributing manufacturing the vaccines. Drive thru shots isn't that. If Chi...

Re: The WH Transition Thread --- all things Trump to Biden until Inauguration
We all think we know this, but an ex-Navy Rep. spelling it out seems like another level. Sherrill is new to politics but she’s legit. I was wondering about that. The last thing we can afford right now is Dem allegations that turn out to be untrue and let the public focus shift to “both sides making...

Yeah, the other food at the end the rainbow that day was bapo!’s bag of scones. And mister d I’ll second the Pie Store. I’ve thought about this a while and I’m realizing it’s not very far, atleast in terms of mileage. A few years ago I had a free day so I went to Singlecut in Astoria which, walking and by train, took like 1:45 each way. That might be it. A trip to Other Half Brewery in Brooklyn was probably it for m...

In the age of nuclear weapons, I think a madman with the launch codes is one of the scenarios they considered when coming up with the 25th precisely because it is expedient.
