Probably sets the bar for Cutler, who is a free agent after this coming season. Not too happy about that, although the Bears should look into extending him now to free up some cap space for this year. Yeah, same with Stafford. In 18 years as a coach, including 14 at Iowa and New Mexico, Alford has more first round NCAA Tournament losses coaching a 3-seed (two) than Sweet Sixteen appearances (one - at Southwest Missouri State).

I like what the Tigers are doing. Keeping six quality starting pitchers is smart, given that they have absolutely nothing but hopes and prayers in the minors. They've got good relief pitchers. If no closer emerges, they can deal for another arm in July. Too, the rotation may be so strong that the n...

It's too bad that utterly brilliant fullcourt inbounds play will be forgotten while that derpy final inbounds play is remembered. I really think that Stevens has proven enough at Butler that he has no reason to move to a mid-level team in a big conference. He can wait and get one of the big jobs with ease (I only consider about 6-8 jobs big jobs). And yeah, UNC would be a good fit as well as Old Roy isn't getting any younger ...
