Re: Gunpowder's Gold Star Trivia

Clue: It involves one player and one statistic. It might not pop off the page, but it is the only instance since the 1985 season. Between 1913 and 1970, it happened over 400 times. Does it involve Mike Hampton pinch hitting? Yeah, was thinking that, but don't think a pitcher pinch-hitting for a pos...

I can't even think what gesture would be appropriate there and doable at waist level. Like I'm guessing I know which one, but its weird. It's a pretty common one and probably the one you're thinking of. The whole point was that I was frustrated and not trying to get in anyone's face about it. Just ...

Yeah, curious to hear that story. I've calmed down to the point where I don't want to get into a big thing, but I was exasperated with some moron they had working there (I was merely asking for direction to will call to pick up my tickets and she had no idea where it was despite the fact it was alm...

Perfect, thanks Brian. Since I am staying at the Venetian, will just plan on getting down there early enough to grab a seat for the early games. We are flying out Sunday late afternoon, so the 10 am games are the ones I will want to bet. You ever play the poker room cash games (non-tournaments)? En...

Re: Swamp Travel Guide

My wife and I are meeting a couple friend in Vegas this weekend - best part is none of this was my idea - the wives hatched it. Jen and I are staying at the Venetian, and other than a comedy club thing Saturday night and dinner both nights, rest of time is relatively open for me. I am planning on a...

Sigur Ros was unbelievable. Everything I could have imagined. Like PDX said the stage set/lights were almost as amazing as the music. The crowd was crazy quiet during the set. I think they were more in awe than exhibiting good manners.

Eastern Michigan beat Ohio yesterday for the first time since 1994. More amazingly it was their third straight win on the road first time they've won three straight road games since 1967.

Also try not to get stabbed. We had Keg to intimidate any would-be evildoers. Despite him being a Dodger fan he's a good guy. You should gift him a ticket to act as de facto security.

For whatever reason, it feels like this has enabled her to be more like her real self too (which is to her benefit). I think Trump's plan to "go on the warpath" might benefit her if for that alone. It will humanize Hillary.

NHL Network should definitely be showing more stuff like that, I agree. Live look-ins and showing games with a lot of the great younger players on horrible teams. Seems like it's pretty much the network's reason for existing. NBC, for better or worse, has to take a more short-sighted view to draw ra...

NBC and NBCSN have little interest in running too many games with Canadian teams seeing as how their networks aren't....you know....available in Canada. They're not running a charity. They have to be able to sell ads and have people watch the games to sell ads, etc. My beef with them is they don't s...
