Re: NCAA Basketball 23-24

The problem is that the replay they showed on TV didn't show the UConn girl's legs and was at an angle where it wasn't easy to see her movement. So it was easy for everyone to declare it a bad call. Especially because nobody wanted that possession to end on an offensive foul. But the live shot from ...

Re: NCAA Basketball 23-24

That's wild. I wonder if that happening on such a big stage led to so many coaches auto-sitting any player with 2 fouls in the first half. Some coaches will let a player get his 3rd, but leaving a star in with 3 fouls in the first half? That's criminal negligence.

Yes, but those teams generally have much more continuity from year to year. There's no rule that says you can't say on a soccer team for more than 4 years.

I don't know how closely the tournaments all work together, but if they set the NIT as an autobid for next year it would probably stop teams from backing out or not caring. I think that's a bad idea though. Teams change a lot from year to year, especially now with the new transfer rules. Why would ...

I'm on my second go through of Beyonce's new album. I like it, but I think calling it a country album is reductive. There are some country influences throughout, but if nobody told you ahead of time you were going to listen to a country album, I doubt many would think of it that way. BTW, one thing ...

Yeah, that was an impressive shooting performance, particularly in the 3rd, by Clark. I agree that Reece’s 5th foul was a bad call, but it didn’t really matter at that point. LSU wasn’t coming back. Btw, I don’t agree that Reece is close behind Clark. I’m not even sure she’s the best player in her o...

It's not just road traffic greatly affected. With that bridge in the water, ships now can't get to nearly any of Baltimore ports. Gonna be a huge pain in the ass with a huge financial hit.

That's some truly incredible video. When you see how easily it collapsed, it's a wonder it doesn't happen more often. How many ships pass under how many bridges around the world every day? I'm guessing the collapse wasn't related to any prior bridge damage or degeneration, but maybe I'm wrong.
