Re: Fusillade à Paris

Not to get off-topic, but even if immigrants don't assimilate immediately to the degree or fashion many people think they could or should, their offspring almost always do. It's not really any different with Italian immigrants to the US 100 years ago. Most moved to parts of New York and the northeas...

Weird. They played our festival here and played their "normal" (or what I can only assume is their normal) set.

And I totally would have stayed for Gaslight Anthem, even if their last album wasn't that great.

Re: The OFFICIAL Craft Beer Thread

I get the concern but it's a fair cry from InBev acquiring Goose Island and essentially turning its brands into the PBR of craft beer. Some of these moves shouldn't result in a diminishing of the product but could (in theory, at least hopefully) help a great brand increase its share and shelf space.

I didn't know the hall's history. That makes more sense than the band being targeted. It's not like EoDM are rare for having played Tel Aviv.

I assume that a reason the Eagles of Death Metal concert was targeted was because of the band's implied support of Israel. Last summer, they played a show in Tel Aviv. But, some time before that show, they were under pressure from artist supporters of the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) ant...

Theyve tried to set up sharia courts here in canada. Both Ontario and Quebec have had to pass laws outlawing it. What would that even mean? For example a women would not be allowed to divorce even though she lived in Canada OK, but even in fairly liberal Canada they said "this is stupid"....

Considering the crazy offseason we had I'm good with playing meaningful games in November and hopefully 7 wins and a bowl game. With a senior QB poised to break most MAC passing records and most of the best defense in the MAC coming back should be a top competitor for the title next year.
