Re: NCAA Basketball 23-24
Well, Shirley, big game on Tuesday! I thought of you! And maaaan, what a relief that UVA got in. I know that lots of folks are going to bitch about that, and I totally get it. It's impossible to fill all the final spots in a way that everyone agrees with. Some teams are going to feel like they were...

Re: CUBE LIFE! Office Etiquette
I've been at work at my job for just under 3 months and my commander has already given me major kudos and said, in front of people, "So do I have to get you some type of retention bonus or something because I really don't want you to leave anytime soon." It completely caught me off guard....

Re: Random thoughts/images/shit that makes you feel old thread
I am envious of those old skiers. There was a time in my life when I skied 30+ times a year. Now, with eye and shoulder issues, my balance seems off. So I may never ski again. It’s not a big deal, given the cost, anyway, but it does make me wistful. It is expensive, but with planning, there are way...

This is more - shit that makes you feel better about getting old. It's an article about folks in their 80s and 90s still skiing. It's relevant to me not only because that's what I want to be when I grow up, but also because I've gone skiing with my mom in Colorado each of the last two winters. She w...

BTW, I can't get over how UVA went from #3 in the ACC and a few seconds from the ACC Tournament title game to probably out of the NCAA Tournament altogether. All for want of one more made free throw out of the last 5 or so they took and missed.

One game shouldn't matter that much. At least not for seeding. Houston earned their 1 seed. That said, getting blown out like that is really eye opening and should definitely affect their Vegas odds for a title.

To that point, I'd probably take the concerns a lot more seriously if the same scrutiny and restrictions were universally applied. What are some examples? I don't really understand your question. What about that is just fear mongering? Give me an example of the level of concern you're asking about. Yeah, they aren't up to historic Syracuse levels yet, but Boeheim didn't leave him much (other than Mintz, who's quite good).
