Re: Why is the anti-credit card argument so binary?

I know that last part is commonly stated, but its not true. If every platform announced an immediate 20% increase in the rate they charge vendors, wouldn't you expect a lot of businesses to increase prices to cover that rate increase? Yes, right? Well if that's the case, doesn't that mean those bus...

Re: 2016 Presidential Race

I find it very hard to believe Cruz's campaign manager was not unaware of the softcore porn actress' history before this ad was aired Man, is everything a scandal these days? An actress with one line a short commercial previously took her clothes off in other movies, and that's a big deal? I hate t...

Re: Why is the anti-credit card argument so binary?

I don't get the idea that somehow credit cards are inherently evil or even just bad. That's crazy. Credit cards are a HUGE boon to easy commerce. Yes, that ease gets a lot of people in trouble, but at the same times, CCs help a lot of other people. And they sure as hell make my day-to-day life a lot...

Re: 2016 NFL Offseason Thread

The first paragraph describes the Rams' office in LA. I remember driving past with my parents when I was a little kid, and going in there to buy tickets when I was in college. Cracks me up it still exists decades later. I'd love to know what those two people did in that office for 20+ years while t...

Re: Let's Talk About Campus Rape

What's sad is that this was a hot topic back when I was in college. There all kinds of stories of different schools covering up or not investigating reported sexual assaults on their campuses. Schools are just so scared of appearing to have a problem that they find it easier to sweep it under the ru...

Hillary is still the most likely person to become the 45th president of the US (unless someoene takes out Barry in the next year.) It is shocking how low that probability is. Here is one thing I am confident we will see in the next inning. A loss in South Carolina could be devastating. The Dem prim...

Dammit, De Gea! A couple of fantastic saves kept Chelsea from knocking off ManU today.

Chelsea has been so much better lately after they sub Hazard in. I wish they would start him instead of the completely useless Mikel. With Hazard, they are so much more aggressive and dangerous.

So the ACC added four Big East schools three seasons ago (Louisville actually joined just two years ago) and this is now the second different one of those schools to self-impose a postseason ban. Yay for expansion!! (I believe the most recent ACC postseason ban before this was NC State over 20 years...

Louisville self-imposes a postseason ban. Seems like they should have announced it at 5 PM Friday on Super Bowl weekend, not 1. Maybe it leaked prematurely. Lol. That's actually a pretty big deal, considering they are currently #8 in the Pomeroy ratings. I just remembered that their two best player...
