Re: MLB 2014-2015 Offseason Thread

why blow it up.... and yet sign Nick Markakis? i don't get the Braves. then again, i've never liked 'em so i'm good with it. (having said that...i don't get this from Houston's POV either, unless there's some companion move yet to be played out. why seemingly jump the gun ... on someone like Gattis?)

i'm with 'loma. Cinnamon isn't quite at the ketchup level but as an additive to something that needs no additive? fuck the heck? that's almost like putting ice in your Scotch. i always said i hated cinnamon (the smell alone of cinnabons is awful) but when making ~Thai food, throw a cinnamon stick (o...

apologies if this has been discussed already - i would say to have no illusions that the Sabres are so far and away the worst team in the NHL and that it's not even close... during their disappointing* "hot streak" in December (going by flawed memory here) they were something like 10-3 and...

as a kid the first time i heard of him was when the (MISL) Buffalo Stallions signed him. we had season tickets and the word was "he's a soccer legend!" - he played 5 games, pulled a hammie, and retired. And pitifully that's all i knew about him for like 10 years.

i actually found it smoother than the regular Talisker and certainly more than the 57 North which we now have. (Smoother doesn't always mean better to me but it's a good whisky). the 57 North is really peppery and smoky - not a first-timer whisky - add a drop of water to the glass and it's perfect. ...

My parents toured several distilleries. They thought Edradour was the best. It is the smallest and one of the oldest distilleries. The operations are entirely run by 3 guys. Very quaint looking place, too. The tour was given by an old battleaxe of a woman who was bitter and cranky. They loved it. t...
