Re: Video Games Thread (See first post for Swamper handles)

Been playing Star Trek Fleet Command on the iPad the past couple months. It’s a fun game that organizes players into alliances, allowing them to forge their own faction paths (Federation, Klingon, Romulan, Augment, Rogue)...It’s one of the uglier freemium games I’ve seen though. The grind is real, b...

I recall Nicolas Cage was viewed as a joke to his peers on the set of Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Not because he was stiff as a board, but because he kept telling people he was the nephew of Francis Ford Coppola.

Some labor historians think Biden’s rhetoric on unionizing is stronger than FDR’s. “There should be no intimidation, no coercion, no threats, no anti-union propaganda,” Biden said in the video. “No supervisor should confront employees about their union preferences. It’s not up to me to decide whethe...

The extreme adulation of Kobe Bryant irks me similarly. Same. You should see what happens when you tell a kobe joke to 500 people. It's a fun reaction I’m curious: what athlete’s image has been whitewashed more successfully than Kobe Bryant’s? Michael Vick comes to mind, but to me, Vick earned it b...

Administrations can do multiple things at once. I don’t imagine many of us work on one project at a time. If the choice were Tanden or $15/hr somehow and they chose the latter than get the pitchforks. But I imagine Biden and the Dems would gleefully reject her 100-0 if it was the quid pro quo for a...
