Re: 2020 Presidential Election: Joe Biden vs Whoever the Republicans Nominate

Having a "ground presence" during a pandemic -- when your opponent is actively gathering lots of people into crowded spaces! -- is not the brightest of ideas when you're trying to get people to stop getting sick and dying I disagree that having masked volunteers ring doorbells is overly r...

Re: 2020 Presidential Election: Joe Biden vs Whoever the Republicans Nominate

Read the same stories on trump in 2016 fwiw. Weren't those part of the "he doesn't actually want to win" storyline? Theoretically, Biden does. Biden is probably going to win because so many of the fundamental underlying conditions are in his favor. But I hope that Dems don’t then use his ...

Tatum getting stuffed is doing a nice job of making everyone forget the last possession in regulation where he got the ball and a switch via pick in an iso, dribbled out clock, and threw up a 28-foot brick that was closer to being an airball than actually going in. I’m definitely rooting for Denver at this point. I know I said the same thing about the Clippers series, but I reeeaaaaly can’t see them beating the Lakers. If Jokic somehow cooks Anthony Davis, I’m buying a jersey. They’re both great big men, but complete polar opposites on the athleticism scale.

Obviously I've got a big time chip on my sports fan shoulder when it comes to the narrative around Harden, but if he was tweeting trash talk from his couch to a player just eliminated a round after him, there's no way NBA Twitter/journalists are laughing with him, regardless of the backstory. But D...

The Nuggets have gotta be the most fun team in the NBA.
This is the third time this postseason they’ve come back from 15+ down in the second half while facing elimination. Also their fourth straight playoff series over the last 2 games to go 7 games.

I can't fathom any sane person not being terrified about this election or being simple enough to think it'll just be about the EC and actual votes.
