Re: Trump Admin Meltdown Thread Part IV - Welcome to Stupid Watergate
That was from 2016. Besides money, I saw speculation that the Turks have Intel on the Saudi journalist murder that Trump doesn't want released.
Edit. Number 6 was the one I meant to highlight
Re: Rants 2?
That struggle is pretty much my job, plus supervising others how to handle that dilemma..and external pressure (my boss/most parents/the state) says you should intercede ASAP because CYA, even though the right thing is to usually let kids work it out without you.
Re: Rants 2?
The cost of healthcare also hinders entrepreneurship. If you have to worry about health care, you're less likely to start your own business if you have to leave a job where you have health care. There are all kinds of hidden costs to our economy, our health and our mental well-being as a result of ...
Re: Rants 2?
I went to a lecture on Play Deficit Disorder -- the basic argument is a gradual but extreme increase in academic time (since about 1960) and an increased fear of bad stuff happening to your kids (or being accused of being a neglectful parent) has decreased independent child playtime (which means pla...

Re: Television (no longer temporary)
Anyone else watch Ken Burns' Country Music? It took me awhile to finish, but it was really good. I think I like Burns best when it's about a topic I know nothing about. I've made it through the first episode, but dang, 16 hours is a lot! And you did it in less than a month! Red Sox sucking this yea...

I wanted you to pitch my story, haha. Too many characters (so I could include every student), inside jokes only the students in the story would get, and jokes ripped off from other shows -- you'd have a hit. https://bascp.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Behind-the-Green-Door.pdf https://bascp.org/wp-...

Re: NFL Week 5 - The Return of Colt McCoy?
So...it turns out the 49ers might indeed be really good. That running game combined with that defense is a pretty great answer to passing offenses, and it will travel in any weather. Teams are loading up on faster, and usually smaller, defensive players to counter the passing offenses, so it's cool...

I think the point is they don't want guys getting plowed anymore...not that there's anything wrong with that.

I wrote a series for my student five years ago, with my students as the stars and me as the enemy, and was hoping it would jump start a writing habit for me. It didn't. Pruitt, you're welcome to use your connections to turn into a show.

I'd be surprised if they're a lot worse. They did take a big hit defensively with the loss of Horford, but this collection of players seems to be a good match for Stevens' coaching a team up (last year he struggled with the Kyrie, Rosier, Hayward return Dynamics). He still has to manage a hopefully ...

Re: Trump Admin Meltdown Thread Part III - A Democratic House
Trump said the Mueller Report already exonerated him from collusion and obstruction. The BBC's focus last night was on what Biden did and how Americans can't don't want another impeachment because of the Clinton one. It's so frustrating. There have been blatant impeachable offenses from day one and ...

The announcer said he kicked it too high, so maybe he was trying to place it to a spot where KC couldn't make a fair catch or maybe they were hoping KC would mess up and not call a fair catch.

Great leadership. What happens if the House holds someone in contempt? Can't Barr just ignore it or make the charge go away?

The Patriots offered Pitt a 1st and a 3rd for him, so it wasn't a big secret they wanted him. According to Mortensen (I know, grain of salt), the Browns and Seahawks were going after him too. Maybe his agent confirms with the Pats if they're still interested, but I don't think Brown needed much conf...

Maybe they were bidding against another team? Patriots usually like to have some cap space going into the season so they have flexibility to make moves during the season, so that could burn them later. Who else would be interested in him right now? I would expect teams in the bottom half of the lea...
