Sorry to interrupt the riveting Celtics/math discussion but.... Knicks sign Hardaway jr. to 4yrs/71M offer sheet. Is this supposed to be proof Phil Jackson was the problem??

As I remember, the Swamp is filled with Alison Brie fans so I need to direct you to GLOW on Netflix. She appears in all her glory in the first episode. Marc Maron plays a cynical asshole director. A fun show you can quickly binge.

Schedule is out. Vegas has two seven game home stands. Is that a function of being out west or is that unusually long?

I've never attended a big time prizefight. If you don't mind - What did your seats cost? Where were you seated? Had never gone either. I usually check day of for bargains but never found any until yesterday. We were five rows up in second level and seats were $60. Shade less than $80 per seat after...

What a ridiculous stoppage! It should have been an 8 count at most. Unbelievable. Was at fight. Kovalev was in trouble but didn't deserve stoppage. I had Ward 10-1 at anything but decision so I was happy but as a boxing fan it was wrong. Most of the people in my section took a while to realize it w...

So Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not going to stay with Man U. We know with his ACL he is out until January. He wants to stay in Europe, but LAFC has him on their radar. I think Man U is making the prudent move. Just can't put that much money into a player who won't be ready for a full campaign. Is there a...

The issue is that the puck was over the line when the whistle blew. I understand it was the right call per the rule and the puck certainly disappeared before it went in. It would be great if similar to most MLB umps who verbally tell the players ball/strike before we see the signal if refs had a way...

Third of trilogy written by Reid with a lot of Manchester's research. Turned into more of a history of Britain in WWII than Churchill but still good. First two volumes were amazing and I highly recommend those.

So Chris Paul is destined to go to down as the one of the most criminally underappreciated players of all-time due to bad postseason luck, right? The "ringzzz" crowd will have a field day with his career, even though I think he'll end up as a top-5 point guard of all-time. First I thought...

As the other Local here, I figure I'll bring up a couple things I've heard talked about around here that I haven't seen the national media touch on much. 1) There is zero concern about not selling tickets-they will sell out every game. The potential bad look for the NFL is the percentage of out-of-t...

I'm in an interesting "Vegas-style" pool. 32 of us pony up $100 and receive 2 randomly drawn teams. You advance to the next round not necessarily by your team winning the actual game but by covering the spread. For example, if I get South Dakota St and they manage to stay within the 22.5 p...

The Bronco beat writer Mike Klis expects the Cowboys to hold onto Tony Romo until Jun 1, so that when they release him then, they have a smaller cap hit. Then, Romo will sign with either the Broncos or Texans. The Broncos beat writer is surprisingly poorly versed on how post-June 1 cuts work. I pro...

IMHO, the NHL needs to set up a full NBC day perhaps in March. Sort of like the Christmas Day schedule in the NBA. Have the best teams play each other back to back to back. It could be last years final four plus and teams with superstars and or big markets. Something like St. Louis vs Tampa Bay 1pm...

I never thought Isaac Bruce was some great receiver. Wasn't his major role to keep safeties over the top to let holt and Faulk run free? I find it hard to believe this is the best the Rams could do. Does Kronke think he's reaching Millennials with this? Tough to envision how he can get older veterans on board. Having Kirk Cousins throw incomplete fades to Desean Jackson hardly seems like a criteria for taking over a team in the secon...

I don't know enough about the NFL CBA to know what the solution is, but the whole idea of teams benching would-be starters due to concerns about injury guarantees is pretty off-putting to me. I wish Vegas would allow betting on coaching replacements. They pretty much have to hire an offensive minded coach. My guess is that Kronke is going to back the Brinks truck up for Jon Gruden. Norv Turner has been floated but I think he's proven he's a superior coordinator to head coach.
