Hell, a lot (all?) of arenas actually play music DURING play now as well. Not the whole time, but after a made free throw or something, they'll blast some Smash Mouth until the other team gets the ball over half court. Really fucking annoying.

To clear it up, LED tvs are still LCD screens. The difference is in the backlighting. LED TVs use ... LEDs! Other LCD screens use florescent backlighting. LED lights allow for thinner screens and apparently better contrast. A pretty good breakdown - http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2387377,00.as...

Good recall on the 1987 tournament, Dave. I sure as heck had to look up that reference. I read about it a little before I posted. Watching, it dawned on me that their careers overlapped (Amaker was point on that great '86 Duke team and Alford won the title in '87), so a quick Google search turned u...

Is Harvard going to win an NCAA Tournament game? Craziness. I find it funny that Mizzou has maintained their tradition of underperforming in the tournament no matter who their coach is. Yeah, great post, Bapo! The Swamp doesn't get enough long-form posting anymore. I'm with you on the NBA Experience. I find all of the extra crap really cheapens the game. It's like they know the game itself isn't entertaining enough. And the thing is, it could be, but all the fake cheering, loud mus...

Something to remember is that Stevens is an Indy boy. His family is here. He has built a solid program here. I listen to radio interviews with him all the time. Is Brad Stevens not going to move on to a bigger program, unless the Hoosier job opens up? Coach K's replacement. There's a very strong sentiment for that around here. Some people think it might be a contest of whether Roy Williams or Coach K retires first - whoever gets first shot gets Stevens.

Our difference of opinion may come down to this. I think dunking over a player who is 6-10 inches shorter and 50-80 pounds lighter from five feet away is actually something that dozens of high school and college players can do pretty routinely. Not at all, but the free market is very efficient. If nobody is doing something, 99% of the time, it's because there isn't a market for it. Very few successful companies or products were the first into their market.Temporary J-Lo wrote: So you're telling me that as a society, we're just out of new things?
