Re: NFL Week 3

I don't think officials try to affect outcomes of games. I believe in their integrity. That said, I've been shocked at the penalties called against Miami in today's game. The broadcasters, Greg Gumbel and Bruce Arians have been polite but have pointedly disagreed with calls repeatedly. Absent the ca...

Re: College Football 2018 (non-meltdown thread)

Man, I wouldn't have believed it, but Oregon is kicking the hell out of Stanford. Heh. I wrote the post above as Oregon scored to make the score 31-7. But, on replay, they decided (I disagree) that the Oregon guy was out of bounds at the one yard line, so they took the score off the board. Two play...

I know this isn't exactly news, but if Tiger gets back to being a real competitor on a weekly basis, it would be the best thing for the popularity of the PGA since... since Tiger was previously a real competitor on a weekly basis.

Draisaitl being included is based as much on upside than prior production. So in that sense you're right. But I don't think a Pacific Division top five including Karlsson, McDavid, Kopitar, Doughty and Draisaitl is indefensible. I wouldn't trade him for anyone on Anaheim, Calgary, Vancouver, Arizon...

Re: 2018-2019 NHL Season

Edmonton didn't make any big moves to improve but you have to assume they'll be better than they were last year based off of progression alone. Unless something happens to McDavid. Then all bets are off. No wingers and no defense. It's all McDavid and Talbot. They should split McDavid and Draisitel...

I got a bit excited after the Sharks playing mostly kids and minor leaguers beat the Ducks last night, with the Ducks playing some of their best players.

I'm more excited for this season than I have been for awhile. Should be a great race for the Pacific division, Brian.

Seattle has a bigger grip there. ALW is a .538 division versus the ALE .520. Thanks, Baltimore. Huh? Seattle has a bigger gripe because they've played tougher competition than Tampa Bay. They have?
