Re: 2023-2024 NHL Season

Back to that Hertl trade - another germane point is that he had a complete no-movement clause, so he could nix any destination he didn’t like, so that likely handcuffed the Sharks a bit.

I’ve been waiting for the Sharks to make a deal. Finally, Anthony Duclaire to Tampa Bay for a 21 year-old defenseman and a 3rd rounder. I like it.

Chedda, any thoughts on that d-man?

Just finished Miller's Crossing. It was thick and wordy and I wished I could remember how to turn on subtitles on a DVD - think I would've been able to pick up on a lot more. Enjoyable flick nevertheless. Did anyone else notice the lead had an Irish inflection in the beginning and then it went away...

When I was collecting baseball cards as a boy, one year (1970?), Topps included a small poster of a player in each pack. Of course my bedroom wall became covered with those posters. Including one of Padres’ star, Nate Colbert!

It really helps bring out the parallels of the two franchises when you equate Luckman to Otto Graham. I mean, my personal rankings for the top three in their franchise history has been Luckman-McMahon-Cutler since the day they acquired Cutler. Sid Luckman had been in the NFL for 11 years when the B...

So, did anybody else watch Barton Fink? It was… different. Maybe I would have enjoyed it more if I was a professional writer or part of the Hollywood scene. Full of arty symbolism and allusions that mostly went over my head, I guess. Some fine acting all around. I particularly enjoyed John Mahoney (...
