Re: Spring Thaw Reading Thread

Reading, or studying, a lot of calligraphy books lately. I've got something like 10 of them from the local libraries. Also picked up this: The Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ by Philip Pullman . . . since I've been on a Hitchens and Dawkins kick, that one seemed like a natural extension. ht...

I think the refresh rate is important. Golf is a pain in the ass to watch on a bad TV. Make sure you see it in action.

There's got to be a chart somewhere on the internets that explains the difference between all of the different types of beers. It seems like someone may have posted it in one of the incarnations of the swamp. I saw the new Newcastle advert this morning, and loved it. They'll probably beat it to deat...

Re: Managing To Do Lists

Have you heard of BaseCamp? It's pretty heavy duty (we use it for everything at the office) but it seems to be exactly what you're looking for. It's made by 37 signals i think (37signals.com) I've heard of basecamp. I'll give it a look. We're in a bit of a weird spot because we need it to integrate...

Re: Managing To Do Lists

Are reminders important or are you simply trying to keep everyone on the same page in real time. I use Evernote for personal notes and storage, but it does not integrate with outlook or use reminders as a feature. Reminders are semi-important, but more important is to list all of the tasks, group t...

Managing To Do Lists

I need a system for managing to do lists. It needs to have the ability to have 4 or more users who can assign tasks to each other, and then have all of us view the status of the to do items. It would also help if the to do lists could work seamlessly with Outlook because 2 of the members of the grou...

"don't tell me the score" For people who want to see the highlights not knowing what is going to happen or how it ends up. When I clicked through, I picked a game and it took me to a page with the score in 40 point font (along with highlights, stats, etc). Is it just that the scores aren'...

Oh, hold on a sec...they just made the NHL unbalanced? It wasn't before? I had just assumed it was. Didn't baseball revamp their entire format to get away from that which the NHL is going to switch into? I think imbalance is a bigger issue with divisions than conferences. The NHL has 30 teams.
