Re: The Captain Trips Anxiety thread
Massachusetts schools closed for the rest of the year, which means there are several students I will probably never see again.

I saw the pineapple in season one, episode one. Never since. Season 2 Epiode 11, Gus used my favorite pickup line for the first time -- you hear about Pluto? That's messed up, right?
Also it looks like there will be new episodes on USA in the fall

I thought I was going to get through a lot of new shows, but I've been recording the Psych marathon and that's all I've been watching. Psych has been on a lot at our home, too. I love Maggie Lawson. Same. On both counts. A lot of people look for the hidden pineapple every episode, but they also see...

Re: Video Games Thread (See first post for Swamper handles)
The retro NES thing isn't expensive, but you can't add games to the console. The controller cable is short too. I'd actually suggest spending the little extra and getting the Super NES mini, as you can jailbreak it and add both Super NES and NES games to it fairly easily. You are both wrong on this...

Re: Video Games Thread (See first post for Swamper handles)
I'm thinking about jumping back into video games, but I'm way too indecisive and confused. Some things I've considered: *Going old school and buying a NES classic so I can play Techmo and Mario but it looks like it's tough to purchase this. *Getting a Switch instead so I can play Mario Kart, Smash B...

84. Grey Street (Busted Stuff). Song in its original form, which included three verses and four choruses, would be ~60 spots higher. But it hasn’t been played that way since 2002. Truncated Grey Street is Actual Grey Street, and Actual Grey Street is a shell of itself at the height of its powers. U...

No Satellite at all? 83. Satellite (Under the Table and Dreaming). Back-to-back classics here — probably ranked much lower than many would have either. I like it, I’ve just never loved it. Satellite’s guitar riff is no doubt among the three or four most recognizable Matthews has ever written and is...

1. Back then it was a big deal to see any actress get naked.
2. Seeing the nerdy girl in a show becoming a slut is fun.
3. So what if she was the 3rd hottest on the show? You take what you can get.

Am I the only one who saw this movie when it came out? Sophomore year of college, and the excitement we all had to see Jessie Spano naked in sex scenes was must see material. It was sooooo bad, nobody cared about anything other than how painfully bad it was. The big sex scene had everyone laughing ...

Sorry BFJ. It's so frustrating seeing the effects of this on students in need of more support. Just finished the last book in Philip Pullman's Darkest Materials series and came away disappointed. A little good news for me -- Dave Matthew must be bored out of his mind because he keeps doing performances. Tonight, he'll be doing a tribute to John Prine on the Colbert Show (I'm guessing Angel of Montgomery). Saturday night, he's doing Farm Aid with Willie Nelson, Neil Young, and Mellencamp. The...

I had no problem with Zoom other than my usual few instances of 30 seconds of not hearing anything due to an unstable internet connection or high CPU use, which happens whenever I use Zoom. I just have to hope nothing important is being said during those times of frozen silence.

Pretty certain warren will be the VP nominee. She’d be the best pick but Biden’s donors will push hard for Harris, Klobuchar or Whitmer. They are the three most likely IMO. I don't know how he taps Warren, given her big thing is CFPB and his is banks and credit cards. Additionally, she hails from a...

Going to bars -- that was nice. The bar was Drink and I was disappointed they got rid of the giant blocks of ice each bartender chopped away at to give you the perfect shaped cube for your drink. Simmons and Rusillo are redrafting NBA drafts and I listened to the 1996 one, which was really interesting. They picked Nash and Ray Allen (along with Kobe) over Iverson.
