Re: Cord cutting?
Signed up for YouTube TV this week and so far, I'm really loving it (free trial). Without having to sign-up for extra sports package, and leaving off our HBO subscription, it goes from $110 package + rental equipment of around $60 down (170 total) down to freaking $50 a month. That's insanity, man....

This is true. But I never played Pokemon, so I would've been Magic centric all those years anyway. And these days I'd only want to play commander if I'm playing Magic. It's a cooler format and you only have to buy 1 of any card instead of a set of 4. I played a bit of magic, but dislike the "w...

A set of Pokemon cards just sold for more than $100,000 at auction If you would have told me 20 years ago to spend my lunch money on Pokemon cards because it could by me a house when I was an adult, I would've been floored. Man, I wish my dad collected these cards and Magic cards instead of garbage...

They help check a box in an automated resume checking software to get a job you don't really want (true entry level backend computer work is about $1 more than minimum wage, and you'll be competing with people 10-15 years younger). You'd be immediately exposed in an interview if you just rely on tha...

Enoch if you pay more than $1 to actually take the comptia tests, you are getting ripped off. I get that you are learning backend stuff, and in a classroom setting, that's fine, but those tests and certifications are utter shit. This only really works in dry climates, but it is effective. Fill up a 5 gallon bucket half way with water. Chipmunk is thirsty, reaches in and falls in. because it's a smooth surface, they can't climb out. They drown. Right now, I have a lake in my driveway and my entire lawn is covered in 2 inche...

I can't keep up with Fortnite. First video game where I legitimately can't even play it badly, just can't keep up with the building part of it. (for anyone who's played starcraft multiplayer competitively...that doesn't count.)

I'll eat an obnoxious amount of food like that and still be hungry. I have to consciously not eat so I don't eat too much. It sucks. I'm sure I have some disease. And I'm sure my being tired all the time is wrapped up in it. But I've had bloodwork done and all the tests shit I'm fine. So whatever. ...

This is awesome work. "The Legion of Whom" is great. As a Seattle fan though, for their sake please don't compare safeties to Earl Thomas, they won't be as good. Seattle fans are going to get a real rude awakening when they realize how bad entire current scheme is without ET. (For Pete Car...

Root is a game I've recently picked up, and it is currently my favorite game and one of the greatest board games i've ever played. Good bit on the money not mattering anymore on the Lowe Post podcast. basically the league got richer, so the contracts went up. now guys are deciding between 200 vs 240 million vs 90 vs either 120 or 140 million. I have it. At $40 a year it is 100% worth the price. Articles are generally good, you can follow as much or as little as you want, the only thing that would make it better is if I could just hide every Jay Glazer article in my feed.

Do great players win Superbowls? Even if he is the best defensive player in the NFC the next 3 years, there is a price you shouldn't pay because of the impact on salaries you can pay to the rest of the team. Between the contract and lack of rookie deals the danger is not being able to fill in with ...

Can't really recommend building your own. The price difference for what you care about is almost non existant. If you don't like sauteed or caramelized onions because they are overpowering, someone can't cook. I would rather have caramelized onions than 99% of candy. I've played Scythe a few times, admittedly with a reasonably advanced group of gamers, and thought it was pretty intuitive once you realized you couldn't look over at someone else's personal board and see the same things in the same places.
