Vikings
Not dead, as far as I know. Or, perhaps they're all dead. Either way, does anyone have any book, or other media, recommendations about Vikings? Seems like an interesting topic that I would like to know more about.

Booklist and Goodreads readers like this one
I really liked this, and it ties everything together quite well (well so far, it's a behemoth so I'm only in the 1760s or so)

Ask Kranepool.
Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.
Re: Vikings
Chedda, I don't know if this interests you, but I've found it a fun way to learn about the history of the Viking invasions of England in and around the 9th century.
I've been reading a series of historical novels about the period. As a group, they are called The Saxon Stories, by Bernard Cornwell. They are based on real, historical events, but he invents a plot that he plugs into it - hence: historical novel. Anyway, using this as a basis, I've regularly went to encyclopedias (WIKI) to learn more about events that occur in the novels, so I've learned a lot, that way.

Thanks for the tips, fellas (except you, funnyman). Can't wait to read up on pillaging. Raping? Not so much.

Have you seen those Scandinavian girls? Hot, and they like it rough. The way they dress they are just asking for it.
