NBC score bug seems huge? Maybe it’s just the size of the actual digits for the score...

That’s all I got so far. I don’t like afternoon games.

Landeskog's fight is one of the few I think is fine or better. Predatory hit, refs don't care and I'm sure St. Louis' entire gameplan is going to be physicality so a fight now forces the refs to pay attention.

The Caps are tied in this series almost solely based on having to throw a rusty 39 yo goalie btwn the pipes. Fucking Samsanov. First two goals last night were garbage.

Anderson has had a quality career and is a decent goalie, but you need better in the playoffs.

(There's an argument that he was trying to make a hockey play and shit happened rather than full intent, but his history doesn't warrant much benefit of the doubt. And really, if the NHL wanted to get away from all the gray here, just eliminate open ice hits.)

I think his history is gonna be a big factor here, combined with the indefensible-ness of this hit (Faulk doesn’t really make any last minute turns or change angles... just 100% dirty).

I say 6 games.

Not in this case. Kadri was looking at Faulk's head the entire time. Should be suspended. I say 6 games too.

I'm definitely not arguing the other side, I'm saying I wouldn't bet against that being the justification on the other side. I do think it being "a Justin Faulk type player" will make it harder for the league to let Kadri skate (pun).

Didn't realize until I read Emily Kaplan's ESPN piece that Kadri had already been suspended 5x, and fined 3x. That ups my baseline, but the DPS still considering playoff games as 2-3x the worth of a regular season game limits the # of games still. I suppose my new estimate is 2-6 games. Like Mr. D, I'm not advocating that it should be that short, but there's still way too much "hurdur, hockey's a violent sport" troglodytes in the league for me to think he should get the more appropriate out for the remainder of the playoffs suspension.

Given what we saw with the Tom Wilson case, I think it's impossible to predict how the NHL will react to Kadri. They'll just spin the big wheel-o'-justice and see where it lands.
