I enjoy getting up early(ish) on the weekends myself. The wife likes to sleep in so I like to get some time to myself, when the weather's better I'll go for a run and still have an hour or two on my own before I have to share the house. And I don't feel like as much of a loser if I decide to start smoking some pot at 11 a.m.

I've always been an early riser, but I've been waking up early a lot lately. I usually get up between 6:30 and 7, but I was up at 5 a.m. this morning for no real reason. Whenever I wake up like that, I find it's better to just get up than try to get another 30-90 minutes of bad sleep.

To smoke pot? I'm not judgmental, but personally I have to wait until a little later in the morning but to each their own. (And I'm not working around kids waking up and stuff like that). I think my record is something like 9:30 a.m.

I've been known to start drinking at 8 a.m. if I'm going to the bar to watch a college football game at 9 a.m. so I'm not throwing stones at any glass houses.

I probably smoked hash or weed every day from 15-25 and then fairly regularly until 30. Have only smoked maybe 10 times in the last 20 years, and my last two experiences were horrible because my tolerance sucks and the weed is so, so much stronger.

but in a few months, the government will start selling it. i am seriously thinking of getting some rookie-strength hash when the time comes.

When we were in Washington state a couple weeks ago, we saw some old friends and my buddy fired up a pipeful, just like we did together 30 years ago. I was a bit embarrassed when I hacked and coughed after inhaling too much, too fast, like a rookie.

No, I was just too not sober to get to a computer. So basically what happened is this -- I keep a gambling log on a text file in my phone so I can write off winnings with losses. Contemporaneous gambling "diaries" are admissible to the IRS along with win/loss statements in the event you're ever audited.

So I have a text file that lists a number for how much I won or loss at XYZ gambling establishment. So I remember on Wednesday night I had to make a new entry in my text file because I was at Mandalay Bay for The Decemberists and lost a little bit waiting for the concert to start and I distinctly remember typing in Mandalay Bay at the bottom of the document because I hadn't gambled there in 2018.

That takes us to Saturday afternoon. I'm at a small bar by the house with video poker that I don't go to often but which I've been to a few times this year before and go to open up my text file to record that I won $X and at the bottom of the text file is now listed the establishment I'm at with Mandalay Bay one line above it.

I have no idea how. There honestly aren't many good options to explain it:

1) iOS has a way of detecting where you're at and will move items around in a notes text file? Not likely, but honestly maybe the best option for my psyche.
2) Without realizing it I somehow moved that item to the last item on the list BEFORE I went in to record the win? (Again, this is the opposite of how I would usually do it so this doesn't seem likely either.)
3) I went to that bar sometime between Wednesday night and Saturday afternoon and blacked out about doing it altogether (and also apparently did #2 as well? (This is very unlikely, but still scary as shit.)

I'm missing any plausible option that makes sense beyond those. Honestly, it's literally a little spooky because I legitimately can't explain it. I'm stumped.

My friend had weird blackout issues with Ambien. It's the only thing I can think of, (not that there aren't other explanations).

Wife and I both get up at ~4:30-5:00 every day. Even weekends. I’ll occasionally sleep until 6:30 or a little later on a weekend, but that’s only if I stayed up until 1. I go in to the office before 7am during the week, so it’s just habit on the weekends. I also prefer to ease into the day with coffee, so the early wake up gives me time to sip shit and read.

I really wish I could sleep late some days, but body just won’t let me. That said, you can get a lot done by starting early.

After 19 years with AT&T as my wireless company, I switched to T Mobile.

When I got back from the desert I turned on my plan from being on military hold. They suddenly couldn't give me my old plan because it was outdated (actual unlimited data, but no texting, and rollover minutes for around $73ish bucks monthly after military discount.) But they said they had switched up the plans and I'd get effectively the same plan, but about $10 cheaper.

Being lazy and despite knowing T Mobile came out with an outstanding military plan in late April, I stuck with them.

Then $63 turned to $68 and recently to $72 in consecutive months. So fuck that. In like 30 minutes I ported my number and switched service. What's really good is for $15 more I can add a line (up to 12, with my credit) and is get free Netflix.

My girlfriend is paying $107 a month to Verizon, so she's about to become very happy for her birthday next month.

Frank's Original is my go-to for most dishes (eggs, meatloaf, stew, bloody marys), but for Mexican foods specifically, I go with Cholula.

I switch between Cholula and Valentinas for mexican stuff. Frank's is good on everything. But the best hot sauce i've ever had is from a place called the Island Cow in Sanibel Beach, FL. And you can't buy it on their website unfortunately.
