Anybody else here a crossword puzzle fan? I put an app on my phone and I find it to be a great time killer that isn’t social media related.

I downloaded the nytimes crossword app a couple of years ago and absolutely love it. I pay to have free access to the archive, and have been working my way through all the Friday and Saturday puzzles starting from 1998. It’s been a great time killer. I used to do that one, the wapo, and the latimes each day but now just do the nyt.

I try to do the Sunday Times crossword each week - a weekly habit for many, many years.

That app looks like a fine idea.

i dont really know what thread to put this in, but I figured you guys would appreciate the joke. So my Godfather passed away christmas eve last year, and probating his will has been a nightmare for various reasons, but my mom is the executor of his estate. she calls me yesterday and say.s i need to sign some paperwork for a bequest from him. A little background first. For literally all my life, he has owned and driven pickup trucks. he was also a little morbid and would talk about his will sometimes. Ever since I was seven years old he has told me, "when i die, im leaving you my car". id point out that he drove a truck and he would just laugh and wink at me. for over TWENTY FIVE FUCKING YEARS. that conversation happened literally fifty times. anyway. back to my moms. I go to her house, and she says, "Tom left you his car".

this motherfucker.

he left me a 9mm pistol. made by KAHR. He spent twenty five years on a joke that wouldnt payoff until he died. god i miss that man

One of the first times I left the immediate area with my now-wife I did this and ended up having to go buy one because it was too distracting.

I think Grip6 advertises on the Total Soccer Show podcast. There should be a sale code out there.

Want to hear a good one? I found out tonight that my Ex has put a block on my girls cell phones so they can't send or receive phone calls and texts from me unless they are on wifi.

Looks like another round of phone calls with my attorney in the morning.

It seems that these days I get my hangovers during my beer drinking session or the following day when I've had only one.

What the hell happened? I lost the desire to drink over the last couple years, but I didn't think it would affect me like this.

So they can't use regular data either? Pretty sure they can add apps to get around that that don't require text messaging service.

Is there a way you can get a 2nd phone line and have your kids or it in their phone as a friend's number?

Or is she so psychotic she's basically tracking their sleep cycles so that have as little contact with you as possible.

I'm lucky that my attorney is a sailing friend who doesn't charge me for phone calls, consulatations, etc. He only sends me a bill if we actually have to go to court. I make sure to buy him drinks whenever I see him.
