Why is it that when a medium to large group of people is walking into or out of a building and the building has double doors they only use 1 fucking door?

I always open the other door and I'm looked at as though I just discovered gold.

I just passed a guy at my work who is the spitting image of the brother from Delta House that takes the drum major's baton and leads the band into the dead end.

Only reason I mentioned it, otherwise would have guessed you would have mentioned by name. (He also has a brief cameo in Caddyshack as a guess of Al Czervik (Rodney Dangerfield) at Bushwood.)

Yep, and just to reiterate what we already hashed out in that other thread, Drunk, Stoned, Brilliant, Dead is the better show, but both shows give a lot of insight into the character that was Doug Kenney, and both are available on Netflix right now.

I pulled a muscle in my back and the pain radiated around front so it felt like I had a sword sticking out under my ribs. Went to the ER, everything is fine. Let me tell you something. IV morphine is NO JOKE. wow, what an instant wave of warmth I felt. Just ridiculous. I even turned down a second injection because I was so blown away by the first.

oblique/spinal extensor?

that shit is some of the worst muscle-related pain I've ever felt. it's debilitating, if even for a brief time.

They never diagnosed the pull, they just ruled out things like gall bladder/appendix/kidney stones etc. The pain in my back is still there, but it doesn’t go around the front any longer. For that, I am thankful.

Since I was a cranky teenager, I have refused to read columnists when they run the old "Open Letter" bit of lazy writing. As irritating as when columnists run a mock-interview of themselves in order to make their points. (An exception to this was Norman Chad - he did it all the time and was very funny).

Equally as irritating is when someone holds their phone 6 inches from their face to address people that will never see what they are saying.

I think maybe it’s been talked about before, but the advantage to Michael Rappaport is that he’s not talking down to anyone in his target audience.

I had a knock on my door this afternoon and was handed a flyer and a sales pitch for having my driveway repaved by a third grader from a foreign country. Ireland. I give the kid a ton of credit, he was really nervous, but he made a decent pitch. I can't believe his parents let him ring doorbells by himself. They were doing another driveway in the neighborhood, but not within my sight. Fuck that.

I have never lived in a place with blacktop driveway. That seems like a complete pain. Sealing, repaving, and scammers trying to get the work (I have heard of folks who go door to door and basically paint the driveway instead of doing it right).

I experienced two unintentional ones yesterday that cracked me up.

Watching my nieces softball game and every once in a while a horrific stench blew across the field. Then we realized there's a Tyson chicken plant fairly close and my response was "that would explain the foul smell".

Leaving the town, I stopped to get a sixer of a local brew. I was talking with a guy about what type of beer I like. "If you like kolsches, that one right there would be up your alley" and the beer was called 9-pin Kolsch. He claimed it was untinentional anyway.
