Thanks for the clarification. Anyway, I had guessed it was DSafetyGuy in that the D stood for "data" and so I guess I was associating kranepool in my mind with DSafe until seeing the real one yesterday.

It doesn't. I had (wrongly) guessed _data_guy (who is actually kranepool) was DSafetyGuy based on the vague name similarity.
Though "So what does the D stand for?" is a fun question to ask apropos of nothing.

My sophomore year in college (fall of 1993), I joined a comedy sketch show at the college TV station where we did a 30-minute episode each semester. One of the things I wrote and performed were three fake public service messages where I portrayed a representative of the Clinton administration who was providing "Drug Safety Tips" to viewers. The tips, or course, were the safe way to do drugs.
The episode premiered at the end of the semester and a couple of guys who had previously been on the show (including Brian Gewirtz, a notable name for a couple of you), but were now making another show, did not know who I was. They dubbed me "Drug Safety Guy", a nickname which stuck through the rest of college and for the first few years of living in LA.
It's a mildly amusing nickname until you're out at a fairly empty bar on a Saturday night and one of your friends arrives with his dipshit roommate, who sees you from across the bar as he walks in and yells out in his East Coast Italian accent, "Hey, Drug Man!" (My old roommate really enjoyed when the same guy swatted my shot in a pick-up game and yelled up, "Get that shit outta here, Drug Dealer Man!")
He was not smart.

OK, I just checked out his feed from an incognito window and thankfully, he doesn't appear to be pro Trump. He's retweeted a number of Trump-bashing tweets. But I do believe he still hates Hillary more than Trump. That's possible.
