What's her favorite meal?
It's the sixth version of The Swamp. What could possibly go wrong?

Nice!
She needs to have a talk with my lazy ass son.
That’s great!

I've always wondered about what some of the well known commercial actors make. People like Flo and Jamie from Progressive and Lily from ATT. These are all professional actors who were looking for work, then it turns out that they end up with these iconic commercial presences. Which means they likely aren't going to be cast in much else (Lily has had a few credits I suppose). But I figure national campaigns for some of the more ubiquitous firms pay pretty dang well.govmentchedda wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 7:52 am Commercial for Jeep? If it's national, I bet it's enough money to live on for a year, assuming that 5 minute spot she was in that had the tiny house was a somewhat realistic look into her lifestyle. So, what I'm saying is $50k
I have a strong dislike of flo and all other characters from progressive ad.bfj wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 9:34 am Don’t know how reliable this link is, but they estimate Flo makes about 2 million a year from Progressive.

My friend's brother was in a couple long running national ads. My understanding was (and this was 15-20 years ago) that the pay isn't much until the commercial stays on the air for a certain amount of time (6 weeks is sticking in my head, but I really don't remember). He had a commercial that played constantly for months, I remember a discussion about it here because it played constantly during the NCAA basketball tourney. Wish I could remember the ad or why we discussed it. I'm thinking maybe a VW ad and something about a gas station.A_B wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 9:11 amI've always wondered about what some of the well known commercial actors make. Sabo, run down the road and ask around, please.
A lot of times, when a character is featured in an entire marketing campaign (like Flo from Progressive), they sign a non-compete deal, which means the campaign is the only thing they can appear in for whatever amount of time, including going beyond when the campaign stops running. They generally get compensated through an annual personal services contract.A_B wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 9:11 amI've always wondered about what some of the well known commercial actors make. Lily bothers me less but really don't like some of those ads.
Probably a big difference in salary for person in jeep ad and character in company ongoing marketing campaign. I.e random dude in subway ad and Jared.
Quick, name her character!
Lily can absolutely get it, even if I'm not the biggest fan of her most recent haircut.
Would not have expected her to be from mother Russia. She keeps showing up on those click bait ads at the bottom of my news articlesgovmentchedda wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 11:52 amLily can absolutely get it, even if I'm not the biggest fan of her most recent haircut.
Pretty sure it's one of the stans, either Uzbek or Turkmenwlu_lax6 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 12:07 pmWould not have expected her to be from mother Russia. Just Googled, he is now a main character on a network TV drama! Happy to see he has a solid and steady career. When I met him, he was lamenting that as a Korean actor, he could only get rolls as "Korean guy," but it seems like he can also play Korean doctor, Korean lawyer, Korean detective... My son is obsessed with The Office, and we just saw the episode my friend's brother was in. He had maybe a 5 minute role, but such a cool thing to experience.
Nope, he played a guy from an ad agency filming a commercial for Dunder Mifflin, I think it was season 3. Asian Jim was Randall Park, who is a legit star now.Nonlinear FC wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 12:27 pmWait, did he play Asian Jim??The Sybian wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 9:50 amMy friend's brother was in a couple long running national ads.
