For those who like blues and soul, Robert Cray's new album is really, really good.

I've probably posted this before in a lost version of the swamp, but I met Kermit outside of dba in the Marigny a few years back. Have never seen a bigger wad of cash in my life.

And, damn that's a great track.

100%. We watched it when it came out cause David Simon, but enjoyed even more right after we returned from NOLA a couple years ago. There aren’t many places I feel like I need to get back to, but NOLA is numero uno.

Robert Cray just keeps putting out good and great albums.

This is from his last album "Robert Cray & Hi Rhythm"

His new one "That's What I Heard" is great.

I had planned to go see him at a place in town one winter and it was a huge snowstorm and it got cancelled. Boo.

Coincidentally prophetic. (And very bizarre)

Who could imagine that
They would freak out in
Minnesota...
Mimimimimimimi Minnesota,
Minnesota, Minnesota
Who could imagine...
Who could imagine
That they would freak out
In Washington, D.C.
It can't happen here

But around 40 years ago I lost my virginity to this album.

Anyway, a fucking classic tune.

Classic song, classic album!
The cops came in
And they looked around
Throwing up everywhere over
What they found
And a tragic true story.
