I saw Zevon in concert a couple times. He put on a fun show.

In soviet Russia, the boogie gets down with you.
This "Whoa, Nelly" is brought to you by Nelly's Organic candy bars. Tastes like the good stuff, without the bad stuff. Whoa, Nelly!

That Steve Forbert tune was nice. I still have "Romeo's Tune" on active playlist.

Hey, do we have any Tommy Bolin fans out there? He was only 25 when he died of a drug overdose, but he had an interesting career. He was a teenager in a band in Boulder when he came to the attention of Joe Walsh who was also living there at the time. Walsh was quitting the James Gang and recommended Tommy Bolin as his replacement. Tommy also played some jazz fusion stuff with Billy Cobham and others. Then, he was recruited to replace Ritchie Blackmore in Deep Purple. I read that being a replacement for guitar heroes was hard on his psyche because the fans at live shows were always yelling out, "where's Joe?", or "where's Ritchie?". Ah, well... he managed to also put out two fine solo records along the way before he died.

Of course this is a very well known song, but I like the story of how they came to use a harpsichord on it.
