Marvel movies. Just don’t get what’s so amazing. Seems like the plot to each is the same, right down to the final battle which inevitably destroys some poor city as the Avengers and their enemies play out the script to a pro wrestling match.

Cosign. Then again, I've only seen 2 Spiderman movies and half of Thor. Oh, and Black Panther, if that counts as part of the same series or whatever it is. I Actually liked Black Panther, though.

I have never seen an Adam Sandler movie, but I may have to break that streak and see 'Uncut Gems'.

Punch-Drunk Love is the other "see this even if you don't like him" of Sandler's movies.

Look it ain’t Citizen Kane but if you can’t find some humor in Happy Gilmore I don’t know why you deny yourself joy.

I've seen clips (which were so so), but never the entire thing. I just have never found Sandler to be very funny.

I do remember liking him as 'StickPin' when he would show up on the old 'Remote Control' game show on MTV.

Glad you asked!

1. All of the featured actresses are stunningly beautiful.

2. No one would ever actually remake it, but if they did they would definitely deliver explicit comeuppance to Potter, and I’d be ok with that.

3. When Harry walked in at the end and was instantly handed a drink and gave a toast to “my brother George Bailey, the richest man in Bedford Falls” my oldest said “but how is *he* the richest man?” We worry about her sometimes.

4. When the movie ended, i texted cerrano’s wife (a librarian) to ask what she thought about Mary’s worst case scenario being a single librarian in her late 20s.

Someone who is a huge fan of something, often to the point of it being a blind spot. I don't know the exact genesis of the word, but I think it's a portmanteau of "super" and "fan"

Seriously? It's definitely from Eminem. Perhaps he came up with the Stalker Fan portmanteau, but it's current popular use is definitely all from that song.

I had a student who did a short doc on "Stans." Totally obsessive fandom to the point where this one young Gay man had constructed his life around the fantasy that Celine Dion was his birth mother.

It means Johnnie's caps lock is acting up.

If that's what you were referring to, I'd say sarcastically making the argument of a moron.

That they're mocking the statement if it were made written normally. It's almost a way to show the statement is bring written sarcastically.
