But, with so many cool logos of raccoons flying in rocket-propelled trash cans and planting flags, she picked this boring one.

Adidas is really into breaking the dominant color with splash of off hue/marbling in the new kits. Not a fan or the new argentina kit.

Hard to sell new ones if they never change. I miss Le Coq Sportif. I mean a chicken on jersey...always the right choice.

I caught the Heat game tonight and those uniforms are horrendous. Just god awful. Who ever thought that those were a good idea needs to be tarred and feathered and left out after curfew during spring break. And the floor had the same color gradient. Sickening.

Yeah. Gradients shouldn't have been allowed to exist after the 90's. And I actually like that retro color scheme otherwise.

As long as it's something just to wear on Patriots Day/Marathon Monday, then it's pretty cool. Not something that should be worn more than once a year though. Honestly think it's pretty cool when teams like the Red Sox take a big swing at an alternate jersey specifically because so many of their fans and the sports media are insane about TRADITION and RESPECT FOR THE UNIFORM and bullshit like that.

agreed.

i feel like this is the kind of thing when i was 20 i'd be totally UP IN ARMS about but wtf it's just a (hideous) jersey. Plus from one of the big traditional teams - yeah, i'm on board for ruffling those feathers (please let the Yankees wear Zubaz or something on 9/11).

...although it'd be interesting to see if proceeds for this go to victims of the bombing, or e.g. Spaulding Rehab, etc....

Yeah. Soccer has completely changed my view on teams deviating from their traditional color basis.

I like tradition. In my mind, it's silly for a team called the Red Sox to not wear any red.

And, let's face it. They aren't trying to be cool or innovative. They're just trying to sell more replica merchandise.

Do we know the socks aren't red? I mean, I know it's silly, but if they are, isn't that the point?

Speaking of cannons, the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers debuted with their new ballpark this year after 19 years as the Dale Earnhardt-inspired Intimidators. They're off to an inauspicious 0-10 start, including getting no-hit tonight.
