That looks like one of the logos for a user made team in a video game.

True. Although I'm glad they went with green instead of black or a super-dark green. I thought they might switch to blue to keep in with the Cowboys, Mavs, and Rangers.

I kinda like them. Sort of minimal style. The only criticism I'd have is that the shoulder patch is the same logo as the centerpiece. That's a bit odd; teams usually reserve the shoulder for their "third" look.

Meh . . . seen worse.

New Spurs unis are an improvement, if only for the fact that I know what HP does.

Damn, that comes out weird. Twin prepositions; Spanish and French "of" "of". The Tigers of of the strait.

Not only that, but the team was known as "The Blues" for a century or so until the new owner decided to change their colours.

While "power ranking" uniforms is kind of silly, this is still a nice fun diversion on a Friday. Paul Lukas (ESPN) offered his rankings a few days ago, Will Leitch yesterday.

Lukas' original rankings

Will Leitch's rebuttal rankings

Can we all agree that the San Diego Padres should go back to the Brown and Gold combo? This one:

Image

ETA: Lukas also ranks the other North American big leagues and offers an overall ranking.

No soccer (but international unis would merit ranking, I suppose).

From the Lukas article there is this tidbit that the Toronto Raptors are at least discussing a complete rebranding. Hallelujah.

If some team came out today with that Padres uniform, we'd all laugh at them. Yet I love that uniform. Same with the 80s Astros.

USA Sweaters for the Olympics. I like them but an not a fan of the fake laces. Go real laces or no laces, but fake laces are like tofurkey on Thanksgiving (vegetarian Thanksgiving is okay by me, but don't fake it poorly).

Also, I think bad decisions on the pants and socks could happen.

I know there is blue on the Russian flag but I never associate blue with them. The blue of those uniforms makes them look Czech.

To used to the old CCCP pajamas.

A previously unknown/announced NFL guideline that teams/players use the same helmets for the whole season has killed the Tampa Bay creamsicle throwbacks. This was a recommendation made for safety purposes, and if having to maintain multiple helmets for each player really is a concern, he makes a good point:
Meanwhile, consider this: If it truly is riskier to switch lids during the season, it kinda makes you wonder about all those colleges that play musical chairs with their headgear each week, no?

As noted in the article, it seems odd that the NFL teams are apparently only now becoming aware of the "rule"..... And I also don't understand why the throwback helmets and regular helmets can't be fitted in exactly the same way prior to, or even during the season. It seems if the helmets are properly fitted, it should not matter which helmet is utilized.
