How to draw heat...
Lived and worked in Baltimore for many years after his career was over.

First wrestling event I ever saw was Rock n Roll Express vs. The Road Warriors in the Huntington civic center. I can still remember it like it was yesterday.

Two legendary teams right there. And one of these teams is still wrestling!

IN the interest of full disclosure, it appears to have been the Midnight Express and not the Road Warriors I saw that day. And just so Sabo isn't the only one depressed this early on a Wednesday, here is the reason I remember that more vividly than I probably would otherwise.
I probably remember that day because my dad was supposed to meet us at the arena and take me in for the wrestling while my mom went shopping. he lived like 20 minutes from Huntington and I probably hadn’t seen him for 2 years. I don’t recall how old I was, but probably in the 8-9 range? Anyway, he never showed up but of course my mom changed her plans and we went in and watched. One of the early (Ichecked the database and I was 9) "he really doesn't care" moments that I recall.

I guess this is technically my first time ever paying for Wrestlemania since I’m paying Comcast and they’re giving me Peacock.

Former ESPN'er Adnan Virk will be the new voice of WWE "Raw".

I did watch the final match. Meh. Then I rewound and watched a match between Randy Orton and something called The Fiend with a creepy hot chick named Alexa Bliss. Meh
From the comments I saw on Reddit, Day One was way better than Day Two.
An Instagram account dedicated to 80s/90s wrestling jobbers was just what I didn't know I needed.

YouTube's algorithm brought me to a board gaming channel that I hadn't heard of previously: No Rolls Barred. It's this group of Brits who are wildly entertaining when playing games.
I learn, after watching some of their stuff, that this isn't their primary channel. They are hardcore wrestling nerds that also have the WrestleTalk and partsFUNknown channels.
Figured I'd share.

If you're unable to zoom, the owl is my career field's mascot with "The Mondellorian" Logistics Plans Superstar written about it and the other is a basic Air Force Retired emblem with "My DD214 Protects Me From That Bullshit" written above it.
Aw this sucks he seems like such a good guy (SOUND OF GLASS BREAKING) (THE ACTUAL TRUTH WALKS DOWN THE AISLE)

Has the WWE actually been sold to Saudi Arabia? New reports say no.
(Interesting only to me: The Board Game YouTube Channel No Rolls Barred is just the fun channel from the folks at WrestleTalk. And I find that so cool.)
But the memes and jokes on Twitter this morning are excellent:

So the U Miami lady Instagram hoop twins not taking the extra year of eligibility and going wrastling with the WWE. Guess the NIL money was less appealing than the brand they have developed.

Interesting because there was a kerfuffle among WWE talent in the last couple years when WWE said they would not be allowed to pursue secondary income streams (several wrestlers were Twitch streamers, for example).

Pretty sure the purchase changed that. I believe some are back doing twitch.
Saw an ad this morning for Fairfax (VA) Comic Con. Headliners...Sgt. Slaughter and Tugboat..promo pics were clearly from their days as prime attractions.

RIP, Terry Funk, one of the greatest ever.
He also had roles in Swamp Movie Night features, "Road House" and "Over the Top".
Dude was tallish, big (not jacked at all), bald, and had a beard. Pretty damn sure he wore the 'PC Principal' black Oakleys and I think he had earrings/noserings. He wore a dark shirt/dark mesh shirt and leather pants.
I can see him in the ring fighting people like Edge and Christian, but I cannot remember his fucking name.
