If Bangladesh win the toss would they bat first knowing that decision would knock the other team out automatically?
Well Pakistan won the toss, first part achieved, now need to win by 316 runs

Need at least 21 off the last two overs or they are done for

Unless Australia turns it on quickly here, looks like it's going to be England v. Australia in what should be a great semifinal. (India-NZ will be great too, but I have to favor the Indians in that one.)

Just how dominant were India earlier, if I were English I'd be cheering on AS here

That SA catch to retire Warner was great. Aussies still have some bullets, but they're really gonna have to mash now.

Stupid tiebreaker rules mean we were robbed of an India-Pakistan semifinal as well. If any sporting event were ever to set off a nuclear war it would be India-Pakistan cricket.

Batting first is a huge advantage it would seem

Also seems dumb as fuck to me to have a World Cup semifinal contested with a vastly reduced amount of overs. I'm seeing if play resumes later it might be with as few as 20 overs for India. Just suspend play until tomorrow if you have to. If it were up to me, I wouldn't allow any DRS scores in semis or finals. Have to play the full 50 overs (or 10 wickets obvs).

wait until you find out that if the final is rained out both days they will be declared joint winners.

That is dumb, but seems less dumb somehow. If they're going to allow an elimination match to be played with 20 overs, then just don't have an ODI World Cup. (Not sure why they can't play on Monday if it rains for the Final though.)

There is something dumber. In the T20 World Cup, it can be reduced to 5 overs.

Only drama left in this match is if it makes it to the third powerplay.

New Zealand gets jobbed on the first ball of England’s innings. Probably doesn’t bode well for them. Psychologically if nothing else.

Should have been an lbw on Roy. Umpire said not out, NZ reviewed and Hawkeye showed it would have hit the right most stump so call wasn’t overturned. But if call had been out he would have stayed out even with an England review.

ETA: I gotta admit. I don’t know why call wasn’t overturned anyway. It’s a rule I’m not familiar with.

Pretty sure if Boult hadn’t tried to catch that ball in the 49th over it would have been just a four. Easy to say I guess but he should have just batted it into play and gave up three.
