Looks like this shooter also had neo-Nazi and alt-right posts on social media just like Parkland, Charleston, Nashville, etc, etc.

Unfortunately the shooter has a foreign-sounding name. I didn't see any specifics about him other than that, though, re:citizenship status, race, etc. Not that it matters to those who will diminish it just because of the name.

He’s a white guy of Greek descent. Has posted photos online of himself wearing Nazi symbols.

Obviously, Indiana needs looser gun laws.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

Just found out my cousin's daughter goes to that school. She's fine, but my cousin is in a state of shock.

At least four dead at Capital Gazette in Annapolis. Death toll expected to rise. I would bet any amount of money it's related to some kind of anti-media bias.

This is correct but the shooter apparently had a longstanding vendetta towards this specific paper after they published an (accurate) article several years ago about him harassing a woman.

Thank goodness. I was afraid the administration wouldn't have cover for this.

I suppose there is some sort of case to be made for allowing civilian gun ownership, though I have no interest in making it. But the lack of regulation in the US, and the (seemingly) prevailing attitude toward guns, is sheer madness.

It's not prevailing. We've covered this ad nauseum and I'm too bummed out to retype it all. Very small # of people belong to the NRA, even fewer believe "they're coming for my guns" bullshit.

Huge majority want stronger background checks and to close gun show loopholes. It is the starkest example / symbol of what is wrong with money/influence and American politics.

I'm on your side, NLFC. But, a huge chunk of rural and suburban America, especially in the South and West, actually does buy into the NRA propaganda, even if they don't join the organization. I've had frustrating conversations with too many of them...

I’ve been traveling for a few days - and haven’t had a chance to post - this happened next door to where Geep works. He said a guy ran in and described the shooter and what was happening and they immediately went into lockdown protocols (he currently works for the state in the judiciary support offices).

It has been some time ago where I just accepted that I could potentially lose someone I know or love to a mass shooting situation apparently. I don’t know when that point was. Whenever it was, that was a sad day.

I’ve been traveling for a few days - and haven’t had a chance to post - this happened next door to where Geep works. He said a guy from the paper ran in and described the shooter and what was happening with a description of the shooter and they immediately went into lockdown protocols (he currently works for the state in the judiciary support offices). They were there a long time until the police cleared things enough for them to head out.

It was apparently some time ago where I just accepted that I could potentially lose someone I know or love to a mass shooting situation. I don’t know when I reached that point. Whenever it was, that was a sad day.

Mass shooting at Madden ‘19 tournament in Florida

Was captured live on Twitch. Disturbing audio. Just before the shooting starts and video cuts you see a red laser on one of the player’s chest.

4 dead, 15 injured. Shooting started because this loser lost in the first round. Killer (David Katz from Baltimore) killed himself.

Four dead, including gunman, in downtown Cincinnati shooting.

The shooting happened in Fountain Square, which is the most prominent square downtown. For those that haven't been to downtown Cincinnati, it's the first thing you see in a WKRP in Cincinnati episode.

On the loading dock and in the lobby of the 5/3 bank branch on the square, apparently (in what is the larger 5/3 building). Not a hold-up. I am guessing a former employee thing, but that is the definition of wild speculation. Although one of the persons shot was in the Graeter's at the foot of the building and another at the corner of Fifth and Walnut, so he apparently was shooting on the square in addition to the loading dock and lobby.
