Scariest part about that are that there is a "Bible Museum" in the works. I'm sure any artifacts there will be displayed with the utmost historical accuracy.

I'd say a lot of these stories are burying the lede that it was indirectly helping to fund ISIS as well.

Senator John McCain, in his career as a navy aviator, crashed four fighter jets. (One wasn't his fault, the NVA shot it down. One of the others wasn't his fault either,) but the point is he crashed multiple aircraft. Extremely rare for a military aviator to continue flying after he crashes once--they almost never give second chances, much less third.

But, if you father is an admiral, and your grandfather is an admiral, you fighter pilot career continues. So, John S. McCain III crashed four times.

The USS John S. McCain, a Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, (double irony) is named for both Admiral John S. McCain Sr. and Admiral John S. McCain Jr, grandpappy and pappy.
Who knows? Maybe, you were kidnapped, tied up, taken away and held for ransom.

Is it irony when a man whose actions reek of classlessness and the way he carries himself is the very antithesis of class asks for others to act with class. I mean, look at this piece of shit.

It just means your IT department sucks. I understand why you use an outside consultant for your tasks.

The Vatican secretary of state is urging law enforcement agencies, governments and social media sites to take responsibility to protect children from online sexual abuse, even as one of his diplomats is caught up in a child porn investigation…

Parolin urged participants to “regain control of the development of the digital world” to make sure children are protected, saying companies that promote and drive the digital world have a particular responsibility.

“This congress must take responsibility for those minors at the world’s ‘peripheries’ of which Pope Francis continually speaks,” Parolin said. “(They) are the preferred target of networks of exploitation and of organized online violence.”

Speaking of irony, the whole Brady/Elliott suspension things are kind of giving me more respect for Goodell. It would have been easy for him to back down from two of the league's most powerful owners, but to his credit he hasn't even at the obvious potential cost it has made to his job.

At the same time, there are 31 other billionaires waiting to shit on him for "playing favorites" if he does roll over on something like that, so there is an element of "safety in numbers" to it.

And with Jones, I imagine there are many owners privately happy any time he doesn't get his way.

True and I only said some respect, but in both the Brady case and Elliott I expected the league (i.e. Goodell) to capitulate and seriously reduce the suspension which he probably could have gotten away with politically (within his membership), but he hasn't either time.

I think Goodell still has such an ego that he doesn't want to do anything that would lead to a perceived erosion of his all-encompassing power.

Not at all adding to any irony one might find in this story, but my understanding from those in the know in town is that he told the police he had AIDS as he threatened to bite them. They gave him some space at that point, which was enough for him to ever so briefly (or permanently?) escape.

One person in the truck has reportedly died and its absolutely going to be someone the GOP would have rather killed via indirect means.
